Last Thursday we had a amazing night at our Year-End Banquet 🐾🏆
It was the perfect way to celebrate everything we accomplished this season and to honor the incredible people who made it all possible.
Our media team delivered the Year In Review and Worlds in Review videos that showcased the highlights of the season. We held a special sponsor recognition ceremony, presenting plaques to our amazing partners in attendance. We also celebrated our graduating seniors - the class of 2026 - our future Alpha Dogs alumni 🐺
We raised even more funds for a great cause through a silent auction, with all proceeds going directly towards Lyme Disease research and treatment.
To top it all off, we handed out our season medals! 3 Gold and 2 Silver 🏆
What an amazing year with an even more amazing team. We’re incredibly grateful for our sponsors, parents, mentors and alumni who continue to support and uplift us. Thank you for being apart of the Alpha Dogs ❤️
This week, the Alpha Dogs painted the "I ❤️ HV" sign outside of our school to raise awareness for National Lyme Disease Awareness Month.
Lyme affects over 5,000 people per year in Canada, some in mild ways and some in life-changing and intense ways. Having had a previous member be diagnosed with Lyme, the Alpha Dogs know the true destructive nature of this illness.
All throughout may, the Alpha Dogs remind you to wear long pants and sleeves when around long grass and forested areas, wear light colours and always perform tick checks. If you find a tick attached to your body, contact a health care provider and remove it using a tick removal kit as soon as possible.
If you would like to donate to the cause, here is a link to our fundraiser for the G. Magnotta foundation for vector borne diseases. 💚 /Fee/Details/512476/145/False/True
A big thank you to Onshape for their sponsorship! @onshapeptc
Your software is a big part of our design process, and your support helps our team reach new heights!🐾💻
On Thursday, April 30th, The Alpha Dogs had the honour to join many other important community organizations at a recipient banquet hosted by mayor Annette Groves. @annettegroves_caledon
We are incredibly grateful for the amazing contributions made to our beautiful community. These donations have truly made an amazing, visible difference on the vibrance of Caledon.
For the Alpha dogs, it is because of this kind of support that we are able to continue to grow our mission of STEM education and improve our impact on the future of Caledon.
Thank you for your continued support to our team and to our community. 🐺🐾⚙️
We still can’t believe how this incredible journey unfolded at Worlds! 🍁🥇
We battled through quals in the Johnson division, with some tough matches but kept pushing. We finished ranking 21st, and earned a spot as the 1st pick of alliance 3 captained by @salemrobotics and partnered with @team2337@ligerbots_frc2877
From there we pushed through one of the craziest divisions filled with upsets and great match ups - and came out victorious as the Johnson Division Champions 🏆
We also were honoured with the Excellence in Engineering Award - a huge recognition of the hard work that went into Moto Moto.
We then advanced to the Einstein Field, where we finished with a 1-2-0 record before being eliminated in round 3.
We are endlessly proud to have represented @firstcanada_official on the world stage. Going this far was a dream come true, and we’re incredibly grateful for every single person who made it possible. 🍁
A massive thank you to our mentors, sponsors, alumni, parents and supporters - none of this could’ve happened without you.
Who’s in the house? 🐺🇨🇦
We are proud to congratulate our lead mentor and alumni Cole Cyr - for being awarded the Woodie Flowers Finalist Award at the 2026 Provincials Championship!
The Woodie Flowers award celebrates a mentors effective communication in the art and science of engineering & design, recognizing individuals who inspire and teach others through their leadership.
Cole does this every single day through his character and mentorship. He truly got that dawg in him.
Thank you for everything you do!
The Alpha Dogs had an incredible weekend at the 2026 Provincial Championships in Niagara! 🐾
We had a great qualification run, ending up ranking 2nd! We were picked by captain of the 1st alliance @frc1241 and partnered with team @team1310
We fought our way to the final, ultimately had challenges with our bearing that resulted in us losing finals 1-2. Huge thank you to @frc7480 for stepping in and putting your best game forward. We came out as divisional finalists on the Technology Division.
To top it all off, we were honoured to receive the Excellence in Engineering Award, a massive recognition of the hard work our students put into this robot. ⚙️
Provincials 2026 was unforgettable. Thank you to everyone who made it possible. Now we have our sights set on Worlds 🔥
Moto Moto is off to Texas!
We are super excited to be heading to the World Championship, but competing would not be possible without the generous dedication of the Maramieri family!
They have driven our robot down to Texas for the past 3 years, and we could not be more grateful. Your support has taken us all the way to Einsteins!… Literally!
