Wu Guanzhong Paintings and Personal Archives in the Hong Kong Museum of Art The Infinite Universe of Master Wu Guanzhong: A Tribute to a Century of Art Honoring a Legacy of Art and Friendship In a landmark collaboration with the Hong Kong Museum of Art (HKMoA), we had the privilege of designing a comprehensive collection of works by Master Wu Guanzhong—one of the most defining and influential figures in modern Chinese art. The HKMoA holds the world’s most significant archive of Wu’s legacy, spanning from his iconic masterpieces and sketches to his personal scripts and the very drawing tools he trusted most. Capturing the Milestone: The “Home Soil” To honor the profound connection between the artist and the museum, the design captures the pivotal milestones of his career. The journey begins with a replica of his well-worn drawing mat, which Wu affectionately named “Home Soil.” This mat, which he saw as the literal and metaphorical origin of his creations, wraps closely around the book. The heart of the collection features three career-defining masterpieces. This arrangement echoes a poignant moment from Wu’s first solo exhibition at the HKMoA in the 2000s. 香港藝術館藏吳冠中畫作及個人文獻 Wu Guanzhong Paintings and Personal Archives in the Hong Kong Museum of Art 有幸為中國現代藝術史上最具代表性與影響力的人物之一——吳冠中大師，與香港藝術館合作設計一套完整的館藏作品集。香港藝術館保存最完整且具重要性的吳冠中藝術檔案，涵蓋其標誌性的作品、素描、手稿，乃至於他最信任的繪畫工具。 里程碑 為了向大師與藝術館之間深厚的淵源致敬，設計上回應了他生涯中的關鍵里程碑。旅程始於他繪圖墊的複製品，這是吳冠中親切地稱之為「故土」的畫氈。他將這塊畫氈視為創作在字面上與隱喻上的原點，因此我們將其緊密地包裹在書冊之外，象徵他創作的延續。 全書的核心呈現了三幅生涯的關鍵作品。此編排呼應了 2000 年代吳吳冠中在香港藝術館舉行首次個展時的一個動人時刻。當大師看到策展人將他三個不同時期的代表作並列展出時，他隨即感嘆：「香港藝術館真正了解我的藝術。」這份深層的默契與理解，成為了設計敘事的根基。 東西方的交匯 吳冠中以其將西方形式主義視覺與東方精神傳統完美融合而聞名。為了體現這種雙重性，珍藏版作品集被置於中式木質書盒中，而書籍內部的結構則採用了現代結構的手法，以致敬他受西方影響的構圖佈局。 材質與操守 材質的選擇經過悉心挑選，反映吳冠中樸實的本質與操守。儘管他享有盛譽，但他從未忘記早年歲月的艱辛。我們選擇了感覺真實且厚實的紋理，作為對他謙遜性格的致敬。 銀色敘事 特殊的金屬銀印刷貫穿於設計之中，這不單是為了美學上的考量，更是一種細膩的敘事方式。在策劃階段，香港藝術館團隊分享，吳冠中特別欣賞館方早年為其展覽準備的不鏽鋼畫框。透過引入這組銀色調，我們建立了通往該段珍貴記憶的視覺橋樑。 圓滿的回響 當讀者翻閱封套內的三部曲時，會讀到大師晚年的自述。閱讀體驗被設計為一個圓滿的旅程，引領觀眾見證一位改變了現代藝術版圖、卻始終不忘初衷的藝術家的演變歷程。 非常感謝香港藝術館的邀請，讓我們能夠參與這個里程碑式的計劃，同時衷心感謝香港藝術館團隊過去兩年每位參與的朋友衷心的付出和策劃，感謝吳冠中藝術贊助，慷慨捐出作品和資助這個企劃。希望這個以故事和閱讀體驗為首的設計，能夠帶領讀者深刻的感受吳冠中的作品及背後創作的感情。 - Size - 220mm x 300mm Pages - 543pp Weight - 3.5kg - Curated by @HKMOA Designed by @form_structure.co for&st - #design #graphicdesign #香港藝術館 #HKMoA #吳冠中

一毫秒的扭曲，走進四維空間軌跡的偏航。 “A millisecond of distortion. Step into the four-dimensional trajectory deviation.” Visual identity for Pulse | Pulse | Pulse The design concept captures the theme “A Millisecond of Distortion,” where the visual narrative is fractured into three distinct dimensions. Responding to the audio track, each dimension operates at a unique frame rate, causing these dimensions to collide and divide in a rhythmic, trans-dimensional, and cross-sensory experiment. The display titles further embody this energy, shuttling inter-dimensionally as the audio pulses control their movement and intensity. The project further explores the synergy between digital and physical art. The motion visual is meticulously translated into a delicate print featuring a luxurious two-tone silver execution, a dual-layer leaflet was developed to transform the static frame into a tangible timeline. 2025 has been a defining year. crossing the path in the mist, when we look back, yet there are still uncertainty, we are happy we are still standing firmly. This year has been defined by moments we truly treasure. We are especially honored to have received our 2nd D&AD Pencil, our 3rd ADC Award, and our 3rd “Best Design of year” from the Golden Pin Design Awards. To us, these awards are more than mere recognition; they serve as a reminder to always demand 300% effort from ourselves, year after year. PRINT LOVERS OSAKA 2025 We are deeply honored to have been invited to participate in the Print Lovers Osaka 2025 exhibition, an event celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Osaka Printing Union. This initiative unites 70 designers and artists in strategic collaboration with 376 of Osaka’s leading printing manufacturers. Our work functions as a conceptual extension of our previous experimental series, The Overprint Series. The design is a visual commentary reflecting the enduring milestone role of print technology in human civilization. We aim to re-assert the importance of print by demonstrating its unique capacity of tangible artifact with inherent material presence.
