Forma Lounge Chair The Forma Lounge Chair explores the relationship between softness and structure through bold geometric form and material contrast. A high-gloss timber frame wraps around a deeply upholstered leather seat, creating a piece that sits between functional furniture and sculptural object. Drawing influence from Italian radical design and modernist architecture, the chair emphasises proportion, silhouette and spatial presence. Designed and made in Tasmania, Forma reflects Fomu Studio’s ongoing interest in expressive form, craftsmanship and material permanence. Available to view at @fionalynchoffice as a part of Melbourne design week 14–24 May 2026 75 Langridge Street Collingwood VIC 3066 Presented as part of Fiona Lynch Office’s Work Shop series. For Melbourne Design Week 2026, Fiona Lynch Office continues Work Shop, the studio’s platform for experimentation — a working environment where ideas are made visible, tested and refined in real time. Bringing together Fomu Studio and Waverley Mills through two separate exhibitions, the presentation draws a shared thread to Tasmania, where both companies design and make in a place defined by quality, history and a deep connection to land and making. Within the front gallery, Fomu Studio presents new works alongside earlier pieces, placing making in plain view. In the adjacent room, Fiona Lynch’s Waverley Mills collection traces wool from raw fibre to finished form, revealing its transformation through handling, assembly and time. Together, the exhibition reflects on what endures — where forms are distilled, materials articulate their own presence, and objects assert a quiet permanence beyond trend. LAYETTE FLOOR LAMP Presented as part of All Heaven Broke Loose by @koehstudio during Melbourne Design Week at the Abbotsford Convent. Jean Wall Light, 2026 Cast aluminium, bronze or brass The Jean Wall Light is a sculptural, pared-back form that emphasises material weight and surface. Cast in aluminium, bronze or brass, the piece reveals subtle variations and texture inherent to the casting process, giving each light a distinct presence. Minimal in gesture yet strong in form, the light softly diffuses illumination while acting as a quiet architectural element. Designed and made in Tasmania, it reflects a balance between utility and object. Photography @matthewmcquiggan

SENSE OF OCCASION 14–17 MAY 2026 Tomorrow is the final day to experience A Sense of Occasion hosted by @thomasmaxamstudio at NHO Fitzroy. For the exhibition, we designed a sculptural champagne bucket in stainless steel. The form is defined by its hand-rolled edges, where the sides curve outward to become integrated handles Designed as both a functional object and centrepiece for gathering, the piece explores celebration, ritual, and the objects that shape shared moments. The reflective stainless steel surface captures light and atmosphere throughout the evening, becoming part of the occasion itself. Within A Sense of Occasion, the champagne bucket becomes more than an object; it becomes a vessel for shared human moments — holding not just ice, but an invitation to gather and celebrate. Thank you to Thomas Maxam Studio for including us alongside such an incredible group of designers and artists.
