discovering @rcollectionfinland during the @remodeproject fascinated by their local manufacturing vertical integrated system. Natural fibers i got dresses and overalls made of 100% cotton and 100% linen. They have a collect back scheme. They sell second hand clothes. They offer mending. zero waste approach to manufacturing. Mechanical processes for pattern making. cutting, embroidery, silkscreen printing. They source locally and the assembly tailoring of the products happens in neighbour countries including estonia. Got some dresses with meaning and the storytelling of my trip to Finland @remodeproject @rcollectionfinland @fash_revgr #fashionrevolution #whomademyclothes #fashion #sustainablefashion #circularfashion

My TEDxAthens talk is now live. Last summer, I applied to the TEDx Global Idea Search — a worldwide search in which one speaker from each city would be invited to speak at the annual TED conference in Vancouver- and one idea: What if the factory of the future could be ethical, regenerative, beautiful — and right next door? In this talk, “All of Us, Making Again: The Factory of the Future,” I share a vision shaped through years of work on circular manufacturing, modern slavery in fashion supply chains, women’s agency, and how AI can help us make again — differently. Not by returning to the old factory. But by building a new one: local, circular, transparent, human-centered. If this idea resonates with you, I’d love your support: Watch the talk, leave a comment, and share it. Is our vision and work worth sharing globally? Could we inspire millions of people to step up and take a role in the most impactful industrial transformation that could help save humanity and our planet earth? TED: “Some of the most interesting ideas often come from the most unexpected places. We searched the globe for ideas with the power to inspire, motivate and change lives — and we found them at TEDx events around the world. On “The TED Idea Search,” we’ll take you on a behind-the-scenes journey following extraordinary speakers from 9 different countries competing for the chance to take the TED main stage in Vancouver this April.” ‘All of Us, Making Again: the Factory of the Future’ #fashionrevolution #sustainability #sustainablefashion #ted #event

Μια πολιτική νίκη στην Ιταλία για τη βιομηχανία της μόδας. Congratulations @fash_rev_italia and Country Coordinatir @marina_spadafora “Elimination of the criminal shield for fashion brands from the PMI Bill: a success for civil society and convergence Genoa, December 18, 2025 - Today, the Chamber of Deputies’ Productive Activities Committee voted to eliminate Chapter VI of the PMI Bill, which contained the new certification of the fashion supply chain and the criminal shield for major brands. This decision was welcomed by the Clean Clothes Campaign. The provision would have weakened the responsibility of contracting brands in cases of exploitation and gangmastering in the supply chain. Its elimination is a necessary first step to protect jobs and legality. The elimination of the criminal shield was the specific request of the appeal launched on November 11, 2025—which was joined by over 40 civil society organizations, unions, and businesses (list of participants below)—and of a petition launched on November 25 by the Clean Clothes Campaign, which has collected over 3,500 signatures. “An excellent result,” said Deborah Lucchetti, national coordinator and spokesperson for the Campaign. “Clean Clothes Campaign has acted as a link, uniting civil society, citizens, and labor representatives to create strong, shared, and visible pressure.” “Our priority was to bring a concrete and documented problem back to the center of the debate: exploitation in the fashion supply chain cannot be normalized, nor protected by a criminal shield. But we’re not stopping there. The real game begins now. The textile sector urgently needs a structural reform, for which the qualified contribution of the various actors in civil society and the labor market is essential,” Lucchetti concluded. Clean Clothes Campaign reiterates the need for a fashion sector reform that moves toward a just transition and its commitment to monitoring upcoming legislative activities so that no law can legitimize exploitative practices and leave behind those most vulnerable.”
