The TEDx community impressed, surprised and delivered this year…yet again. 🥳 2025 was our biggest year so far, and we’re celebrating with the latest State of the X report! Look back at the local event trends, standout talks and incredible moments showing the magic you shaped together.
As we wrap up this year of growth, we’re extending a thank you to each of you — the organizers, speakers, attendees and everyone who watched a TEDx Talk in 2025.

Plan post-event gatherings for your hardworking team.
In Sta Ulalia, Spain, the @TEDxIbiza team enjoyed a relaxing poolside lunch the day after its event. The gathering felt like an extension of the main event that included artmaking sessions, a photo studio, a non-alcoholic bar, chess at communal tables and more.
The team worked with several partners to craft its offstage programming, and chose venues with spacious indoor and outdoor areas to create an open environment that allowed for mingling without overcrowding. Ibiza’s nature also provided an enviable built-in view.
How AI can learn from animal behavior
Nature has spent eons quietly engineering resilient, adaptive systems across species. So why not use that as a blueprint for AI?
Renowned AI researcher Seyedali Mirjalili did just that, studying how wolf packs coordinate during a hunt and translating those patterns into an algorithm.

🤩🎊🥂🥳🤸That’s right. The TEDx community has officially held 50,000 TEDx events worldwide! A huge congratulations to every organizing team that helped make this incredible milestone possible. You really did that.
And thank you to everyone who has attended an event, given a talk, watched a talk, volunteered, or supported TEDx throughout the years. This milestone belongs to all of you. 🥹❤️
Why you feel younger (or older) than your age
You’re only as old as you feel—or do you feel exactly as old as you are? Gerontologist Tracey Gendron challenges us to rethink the experience of aging, examining how ageism warps out expectations of what a given age should “feel” like.

At TED2026, @MercyAkamo from @tedxlagosng shared her top tip for TEDx organizers: attendees come to your event for more than the talks. Make sure you invest in your offstage (or social!) program to keep them coming back year after year.

Why awkwardness is your secret weapon at work
When we avoid feeling awkward, we often miss an opportunity for growth, says workplace performance expert Henna Pryor.
Embracing discomfort for the sake of self-betterment means pushing past the "cringe chasm"—the gap between how we perceive ourselves and how others see us—and creating chances to get ahead at work and in life.
