Why repair? 🪡
Mending activities don't just belong to Fashion Revolution Week, and there are lots of reasons why! Repairing can be an act of care, community and craftmanship.
Also, according to the Circularity Gap Report (2024), the rate of overconsumption is bleak.
From 2016-2021, globally we consumed over 75% of what we consumed in an entire century. 🤯 Consumption differs greatly geographically, with much of the West disproportionately responsible.
One way to tackle this?
Equip yourself with needle and thread and repair, re-purpose or revive your well-loved clothing items –resist the urge to replace!
Hopefully you've learned some new tips and tricks from our Fashion Revolution Week activities but if not, we'll be sharing more in the coming month that is #MendItMay.
Share this post to expose the impact behind one simple act of mending.
What can the EU do for a fair and sustainable textile sector? 🧶👚
The answer starts with stronger action.
The EU is one of the world’s biggest textile markets, yet its demand still drives overproduction, pollution and exploitation globally.
Launched by the Fair Trade Advocacy Office, the guide ‘The textile sector needs to change’ builds on work carried out with NGOs, allies and partners advocating for stronger social and environmental ambition in the EU Textiles Strategy.
Designed to equip NGOs, advocates, and policymakers to help push textile reform forwards, the guide provides a summary of key challenges that the textile sector is still facing – plus the policy solutions needed to address them. As part of #FashionRevolutionWeek2026, read the guide to find out more and equip yourself!

Today, we are #RememberingRanaPlaza
On 24th April 2013, the Rana Plaza factory in Dhaka, Bangladesh collapsed, killing 1138 people.
Today, we remember the workers and families affected by this preventable tragedy and demand that no one dies for fashion.
Collectively working to transform the fashion system remains just as vital, over a decade later.
If you want to be a part of making meaningful change, support these organisations with a donation. Links to each of the organisations listed are in our bio.

Had a beautiful afternoon last Saturday of slow stitching, thoughtful repair, and shared stories.
Together, we explored Sashiko and visible mending, transforming well-loved garments through simple hand stitches, care, and intention.
Thank you to everyone who joined us!

Thank you for joining us for this year’s Fashion Revolution Week 2026! 🙌🎉
Across the world, our global network came together to host events, spark critical conversations, share powerful stories, and reimagine what a sustainable fashion system can look like. Each contribution reflected the strength and diversity of this movement.
This year, we were reminded that change is not driven by a single moment, but by sustained, collective effort. Every action, no matter how small, builds toward a future where fashion respects both people and the planet.
To everyone who organised, participated, collaborated, and supported: a BIG THANK YOU! ♥️ Your commitment, actions, and creativity are what make this movement possible.
This year’s campaign may be finished, but our work, our community and our movement is far from over.
Many countries are continuing to hold events – from clothing swaps and mending workshops, to panel discussions, open studios, and online talks.
We continue to fight for a fair and just fashion industry that values people and planet over profit. We hope you’ll join us 🌎

To build hope for a better fashion future, we can gather and protest, share knowledge and advocate, and learn to mend and repair the clothes we own.
But we can also look to innovation in the fashion industry, happening now ✨
This year, our Fashion Revolution team in Peru scheduled a series of Fashion Open Studios events that showcased innovation – stepping inside the minds and making-spaces of small, circular designers, brands and artisans.
Creating doesn’t have to take away from people or our planet. 🌿
Susana Faro’s work stems from experimenting with biomaterials and waste collected on beaches, exploring new ways of creating through clothing.
Through pieces that lie at the intersection of art and design, Susana investigates the relationship between the body, materials, and the environment, proposing a reflection on marine pollution – in dialogue with the knowledge and values of pre-Hispanic cultures.
This innovative work is just one of the ways that citizens around the world are taking steps towards a clean, safe, ethical, transparent and accountable fashion industry.

🌸Thank you everyone that joined Mend In Public Day! 🌸
A day where we get together on a public space to bring awareness on the importance of mending clothes and expanding their lifetime. But over all, thank you for being part of this on growing community. Because the only way we can really have an impact is if we are all together in this 💚
Thanks to @snabslanten for the financial support, and to our community members that put this event together @_cave_s@mj_scandi_crafts@nazarenaensepia ✨✨✨
Kicking off Fashion Revolution week by celebrating creativity, transparency, and second life design with our UPCYCLED by @vadundee collection ♻️
We’ve partnered with @amybritton_brittonscotland to transform retired PVC exhibition banners into a unique range of bags and accessories.
By reimagining what already exists, these designs give new life to materials, helping to protect our planet while carrying the V&A Dundee story forward - one bag at a time.

Last night, we closed EcoFest — just as Fashion Revolution Week begins with a special screening of the film Fashion Reimagined 💚
Together with Kaipātiki Project, we gathered nearly 120 people for an evening centred the film, and the deeper question it asks of all of us: what would it take to truly change fashion?
Our screening of Fashion Reimagined grounded the night, creating space to reflect on who makes our clothes, what they’re made from, and what a different system could look like.
Around that, a vibrant marketplace of preloved, locally made, and vintage pieces brought those ideas to life, showing that reimagining fashion isn’t something for the future, it’s already happening here.
The theme was reimagined, and you embodied it!
Outfits were thoughtful, expressive, and resourceful - a celebration of creativity beyond “new”.
And to everyone who joined us! Thank you for being part of this growing movement.
Fashion Revolution Week starts now!
Let’s keep asking questions.
Let’s keep reimagining.
