Delighted to share the new sonic ident / branding work I did for Stockholm based cinema, film distributor and production company, @rio__studios 🦜 The logo will play daily in their public cinema in Sweden, as well as accompany their various offerings where appropriate. Instead of leaning into the tropes of cinema idents with big strings and orchestra, we wanted to find a sonic language that felt more bespoke and unexpected. Rio means river in Spanish, which informed the direction – inspired by natural textures of water and wildlife, grounding them in cinematic weight and movement to follow the stunning visuals made by @lawrie.miller of @dreaming_vinyl . I had the task of not only sound designing this but also finalising the 7.1 mix at @theeditbrighton . A super collaboration of immense pleasure! Thanks to @mangaminja and @isakkjellander for bringing me on board 🤝

To launch @the_pjl_official @wk_ldn and @notwk_ldn created a film that breaks from the polite applause that defines how showjumping has always been presented, and shows the world the hidden reality of the sport. The drama, the tension, the raw athleticism of two athletes – horse and rider – pushing the limits of physics together. Directed by @nicolinak
