“When we received the brief we immediately thought about the opening of City of God. We loved the raw energy and immediacy of that sequence, and it became a guide for how we approached both the camera work and the atmosphere of the piece. We shot in Marseille and the main challenge was making the film in just two days, which required very precise scouting, almost no improvisation and almost no additional lighting. Shooting on 35mm helped us stay disciplined and keep a strong rhythm.” Julien & Quentin, directors

We are beyond excited to release our very first dc’ film for Adidas. Yes Adidas! This marks a major milestone for us.
As lifelong football fans, working with such an iconic name is surreal. Two years ago, we teamed up to form a directors’ duo @waaaw.tv , diving into the wild world of mixed reality, blending live action with insane CGI. Why? Because creativity plays with no rules.
And now, here we are. Proud. Grateful. Ready to share our latest film. Huge thanks to @ORAGE_STUDIO for believing in the madness.

“This is a 100% Director’s Cut version of a commercial film shot for Deichmann and Adidas. It reflects our personal artistic vision as directors and is not intended for commercial use by any of the aforementioned brands. Neither the brands nor the creative agency Scholz & Friends were involved in the creation of this version. The music rights are held by Scala & Kolacny Brothers.”
