Tonight at 9 PM on PBS, my @kresgeartsdetroit film airs as part of the Kresge Artist Showcase. I had a real meeting with the Chief of Police at Detroit Public Safety Headquarters, shared my vision, and got the green light to film there. We were also granted access to the courthouse. I’m here to inspire. And this story is something you need to see! Tune in tonight at 9 PM on @pbs and see what I’m talking about. Shout to everyone that was apart of this film @extradecent dir @clarksvisions Dp @dorsey_mnc writer

🏆 Jit Master Mike | 2024 Kresge Artist Fellow “Detroit streets thrummed with Jit before I could walk. It wasn’t just dance, it was fire in my veins, a shield from rough corners. School sharpened skills, but Jit craved more. Innovation hummed, tradition meeting asphalt. Michael Jackson moonwalks on concrete, hip-hop fused with old-school soul. This was my Jit, raw, real, Detroit’s stories in every step. Years blurred, stages from gyms to Michael Bivens’ video. Life spun, but the beat pulsed on. Sharing this gift, this Jit, was destiny. Jit Masters was born. Not just a crew, but a school where Jit fever takes hold. We paint joy on asphalt.” - Jit Master Mike 🎬 A film by Desmond Love (@EveryFormat ) showcasing @jitmasters . Series produced by @7cylindersstudio and Kresge Arts in Detroit.

My boy @extradecent did the first GODNII photoshoot in the history of the brand almost 10 years ago. I was just gettin started and had no idea what I was doing. I made my first prototype pit of wood and glued them together because I didn’t know about hinges or have a hinge supplier. I remember literally having to glue an arm back on during the photoshoot. Desmond, you deserve these. Desmond has also purchased a ticket to EVERY GODNII event, even if he knew he couldn’t make it. Thank you for believing in the vision and for all the love. Welcome to the GODNII family, officially. 😎🤙🏽
