after a long and needed feed post hibernation, some moments from my solo show ‘Bound by Two Homes’ in co-curation with @greentble
thank you to absolutely everyone who was part of bringing my first ever show to life it will forever ever hold a very special place in my heart. Everyone who came, connected, laughed, cried, shared their stories, shared time and space: I love you!
Everyone who was part of the process from making the projects to getting them to exist in the space and making it the experience that it was: I love you!!!!!!!
I can’t wait to just keep on creating with all the wonderful people I find and align with in this world and to keep on sharing and bringing together beautiful pure souls. the world needs so much more active love and from our little corner in Hackney I felt it strongly, thank you all💝

p.s. I hope everyone’s Nowruz (spring equinox/iranian new year) has been going splendidly! I hope the sun has been helping perk up a huge spring in ur step but equally, sometimes when the sun is shining and we still don’t feel 100% ok it feels odd and strange. I think some confusion and shame can come up as we often expect better weather to do the trick but remember, life cannot be all highs - it would literally be no fun that way. u need the lows u need them u need them and these contrasts are what can help life be more beautiful and things feel truly good when they do. ride it out. give urself love regardless. life can and will feel good again. soooo no! pressure! u r IN life, fill urself with the gratitude of just that and u will have everything u need!

My favourite photo ever has been selected as one of the winners of the British Journal of Photography’s Female in Focus photography award X @nikoneurope .
It will be exhibited @1014.gallery in London from April and @theglasgowgalleryofphotography from June.

I would like to dedicate this image and win to the loving memory of Sara Tabrizi🕊️❤️ Our beautiful Sara was with us at the picnic during the creating of this image and stays with us forever in our hearts. For me, her spirit is encapsulated in this photograph. I stand here in this ‘self-portrait’ as only a symbol for all the strong-spirited women and people standing in the face of oppression. To all the freedom fighters of our world, you inspire me.
