My dad’s story will forever fascinate me - so seeing it shared in @financialtimes recently was a truly special moment. His journey from a child factory weaver to business owner will always humble and inspire me.
I’m endlessly proud of you, Dad, and so honoured to continue growing the tree from the roots you laid so powerfully.
Huge thank you to @rosahimi and @fthtsi for telling our story.
And thank you @nilu for capturing it - we clearly loved the shots so much, they’re being used for everything! New shoot coming soon…

Much love,

It’s been such an amazing year connecting with you on here that I realised I haven’t even had the chance to properly introduce myself. So...Hi, I’m Sophie. Growing up, I realised that rugs were more than just decoration—they carried our stories and energy. Inspired by my father Bahram, who started weaving rugs at the age of four in Iran, I left school at 17 to join the family business, eager to nurture and evolve this ancient art form.
This year has been so special and transformative —thanks to you. I’m incredibly excited for what the future holds. Thank you for being part of this journey. Here’s to more stories, more connections, and more rug love ❤️💫

Fell in love with this antique Caucasian kilim immediately 🤍
The woven inscription is believed to be a date, possibly making it close to 100 years old which would match the natural dyes!!!!
Sooo obsessed with this antique Bidjar runner… glad there’s so much of it 🧡 I’ve started hanging rugs in our new space and it’s making me fall in love with them all over again.
Bessarabian kilims are known for their elegance, soft palettes, and unique floral designs. Predominantly woven across Moldova, Ukraine, and Romania, where multiple weaving traditions meet.
Dads correction - a kilim: handwoven flatweave, not knotted or needlepoint 🤍
I chose this antique Turkmen chuval (bag face) as my geometric example because geometric designs are often associated with tribal weaving, though there are always exceptions!!!
I’m also just obsessed with this piece. Over 100 years old and the colours are incredible.
Working around rug shop renovations at the moment so please ignore the improvised locations. Nothing will stop the rug videos!!!
