Introducing my first cookbook, PLENTIFUL, out in April 2023.
Plentiful means abundance, existing in or yielding great qualities. A word that reminded me of Jamaica, an island rich in its food culture & history.
When I started Dee’s Table it was all about inviting people to my ‘Table’, and PLENTIFUL is exactly that. Welcoming you all into my home, through my recipes & personal stories. I wanted to honour my favourite flavours from Jamaica & nostalgia from my early childhood while giving vegan realness as always.
A never ending thank you to my wonderful team at @hardiegrantuk and @silemignon_ . This book was an absolute dream to make 🤎

A couple of weeks ago @jam.delish invited me down to try their ‘Ultimate Feast Platter’ and it was SO delicious! I haven’t had rice & peas that good in so long, which I could have honestly eaten on its own! Hats off to @chefnathancollymore for doing his magic in the kitchen! ❤️🔥
What I ate:
- Pepper ‘Prawns’ & Tostones, Coconut and Avocado, Pickled Cucumber (loved this!)
- Ultimate Feast Platter: Caribbean Fried Oyster Mushrooms (my fav), Jerk Skewers, Mac & Cheese, Plantain Fries, Rice & Peas, Mini Festivals, Slaw, Leafy Green Salad, Jamaican gravy, Jerk BBQ Sauce, Pineapple & Mango Scotch Bonnie Sauce!! ✨
- Rum Punch (of course)

Making sandwiches for my friends (and myself) helped me to fall back in love with food, and I wrote all about it for @vittlesmagazine !
If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll have seen me assembling these Sando’s in real time, which typically takes 14hrs to make start to finish. Each sandwich is unplanned and made with a sense of urgency, honouring a craving or a memory.
In this piece I share a recipe for a Channa Roti Sando, inspired by a life-altering roti I had in Antigua many moons ago, which is permanently on my mind!

It was a JOY to make my Crispy Rice Mango Sandwich cookies for the @toothsome_magazine bake sale this time last week at @godetlondon 🥭🥥
These cookies are proof that I’ll take any opportunity to make something Mango & Coconut related! My Crispy Rice Mango cookies were filled with Mango Curd & Coconut Cream, with actual rice pudding in the coconut dough! All of my favourite things in one mouthful! ✨
