Bringing in not one, not two, but THREE awards is the KPMG Australia Parramatta Workplace. 🏆 The most stunning workplace designed by KAV Kreative, built by Built. features Arktura Vapor, installed in the ceiling, a stand-out feature for clients as they walk in the door. At the start of the project, Decor Systems created a custom working prototype tile of Arktura that could be plugged into a wall and lit up. The prototype was designed to reveal to the site and project teams how the product works and comes together. The LED-backlit ceiling tile system showcases the office’s high-tech connectivity and modern touch. KPMG Parramatta is now the third ceiling of its kind in Australia, and all three were implemented by Decor Systems, redefining the way acoustics and lighting integrate harmoniously in a space. From the Architect: "A highlight of our collaboration with product designers and engineers is the representation of the 'sky' in the form of a captivating ceiling design. This design element is deeply rooted in our connection to culture and the remarkable diversity of the Parramatta community." HYMBA YUMBA INDEPENDENT SCHOOL Our recent collaboration with Deicke Richards, Bedford Built and Xclusive Interiors Pty Ltd on the development of Hymba Yumba Independent School is a powerful example of how architecture, art, and acoustics can come together to create something truly meaningful Central to the project was the integration of Seeds, an artwork by proud Larrakia, Wardaman, and KaraJarri woman Jenna Lee. This piece forms part of our Contours of Country range. We spoke with both Jenna Lee and Luke Watson, who was the lead architect on this project. Both shared their thoughts on what it means to have Jenna's work featured in this space, and the inspiration behind it, and to learn more about why it was chosen. MERCEDES COLLEGE Designed by JPE Design Studio and built by Kennett Builders, this sports precinct brings together smart design, innovation, and sustainability. Decor Systems delivered a tailored acoustic solution to address the common challenges of sports halls, excessive reverberation, high noise levels, and durability under constant impact. The result is a space that supports clarity, comfort, and performance. Cewood wood wool panels (NRC 0.80) were selected for their strong acoustic performance and sustainable composition, made from just water, wood fibre, and cement. Painted in a cool grey, they provide a clean, functional base. To balance the space, DecorStyle panels in Smartlook Burnie Blackwood introduce warmth and natural timber character, enhancing the overall user experience. A considered and sustainable approach to acoustics. More on cewood here: https://lnkd.in/gpVexAR More on the project: https://lnkd.in/gX2keWVw #architecture #acousticsolutions #woodwool

There’s something incredibly special about seeing First Nations stories embedded into the spaces where young people create, learn and express themselves. @sar.ra__ 's artwork 'Turtle Season', part of the Contours of Country range Blaklash developed with @decor_systems , has brought new life to the music room at @ngutucollege on Kaurna Country. Rachael’s artwork tells the story of turtles always finding their way back to Country, no matter how far they travel. As an independent school built around Aboriginal knowledge systems and with a “living room” approach to learning, Ngutu College feels like a fitting home for this work. We’re so proud of what Contours of Country has become, bringing culture and stories into everyday spaces where they can be experienced and carried forward. Learn more via the link in bio.

PENINSULA UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL A favourite of ours because it shows how one product can make a huge difference. Guided by the principle of “healing Country, healing people,” this project is a powerful reflection of how design can connect people, place and purpose. Working alongside Architectus and Bates Smart, the main foyer creates an incredible arrival experience. Striking tree-like pillars form both a structural and cultural statement. Integrated within these acoustic panels is Contours of Country, Bark by Jenna Lee, transforming what could be a purely functional element into a storytelling device. Jenna Lee’s work explores the collection of Aboriginal resources, in this case, reflecting on the significance of Eucalyptus. Through the materiality of the panels, textures and imagery of bark and seeds are etched into the timber, re-embedding First Nations knowledge into the built environment. More than just a feature, it’s something that contributes to the experience of the space. For patients and staff who return daily, that connection to Country and place becomes part of the hospital’s therapeutic environment. Proud to have delivered Contours of Country as part of this outcome with Architectus and Bates Smart.
