We’re pleased to share that Built and Wesfarmers have formed a 50:50 joint venture to establish Built Living, focused on delivering scalable and affordable housing solutions to help address Australia’s housing shortage.
Built Living is the outcome of nearly two years of global research by Built to identify approaches that genuinely work. The joint venture will apply proven Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) methods used across Europe, delivering up to 20% lower costs and up to 50% faster delivery, without compromising quality.
The @wagovernment is supporting the launch of Built Living through a long-term land lease at the Neerabup Automation and Robotics Precinct in the north of Perth. This manufacturing facility is capable of producing more than 2,000 apartments per year. With its fast‑growing population and strong economy, WA is the ideal launch point for a national rollout.
We’re proud to be taking this step with Wesfarmers and the Western Australian Government as we work to build a stronger, more productive housing system for Australia.
