Coercive control is family and domestic violence. It’s a pattern of abusive behaviours designed to take away someone’s freedom and independence. These behaviours can be subtle and hard to spot but they cause serious and lasting harm.
It can involve someone:
• monitoring someone’s online activity
• isolating them from loved ones
• love bombing them
• controlling their choices and appearance.
