Bossa Nova Baby: The Lungs of the Earth is open. 🌿 Happy Earth Day - A rainforest has taken root inside the Woodruff Arts Center — and it breathes. This immersive experience continuously transitions from dawn to dusk, gently dissolving the world outside. Bossa Nova warmth and rhythm moves through the space. And, as in any rainforest, every half hour it rains. This magical world inside the @alliancetheatre PNC PlaySpace invites families to splash in a projection-mapped river, hug a squeeze wall, make music, and meet frogs. A new species is discovered in the Amazon every 48 hours. We designed a space where children discover something new every time they blink. Conceived by @alliancetheatre , designed by @dash._.studio with Creative Direction by @okcoortney — brought to life by artists @carla.contreras.art , @potentflora , @ivan23d , @farbodkokabi , @mikelustigart , @therealcharlesschwab , @santiago_paramo , and @krissen__ . With generous support from @PNCBank . Book your visit — link in bio. 🌧️ #BossaNovaBaby #LungsOfTheEarth #ImmersiveArt #EarthDay

REFLECTIONS 🪩 Featured Artist Barry Lee @barryleeart Barry Lee’s Disruption (2025), created while recovering from Long COVID, presents a meditation on the interruption of daily rhythms. Through recurring imagery of the sun, moon, and shifting horizons, the piece visualizes the blurred experience of illness while acknowledging the crucial role of clinical trials in understanding and alleviating long-term effects. Lee’s work resonates within the spirit of Pride by giving voice to personal struggle and collective perseverance, insisting on care, dignity, and representation for those navigating invisible conditions. We bring to you new artwork for REFLECTIONS currently on display at @prattpullmandistrict In the form of (3) three immersive Kaleidoscopes FEAT work by: @jacksonmarkovic @victoria.dugger.studio @barryleeart Animation by Ivan Reyes @ivan23d Portrait 📸 Anna Vikol @pani.annav Artwork open to the public Thursdays- Saturdays in October 4-9 PM @prattpullmandistrict #BeReflected #art #healthcare #science #access link in bio + supported by @reflections.collective a coalition of artists, advocates, and cultural producers committed to using immersive art as a vehicle for public health equity and community visibility.

REFLECTIONS 🪩 Featured Artist Victoria Dugger @victoria.dugger.studio Victoria Dugger’s In Full Bloom (2025) reflects on the absence—and necessity—of inclusive representation in healthcare and medical research. Tender yet unruly flowers bloom within a vessel that is both protective and confining, evoking systems of care not always built for marginalized bodies. Dugger calls for expansiveness and compassion, reclaiming visibility in spaces where difference is too often overlooked—an affirmation of Pride’s ongoing insistence that all bodies be seen and celebrated. Her work can also be seen this season in a solo exhibition at the Hudgens Center for Art & Learning. REFLECTIONS 🪩 Featured Artist Jackson Markovic @jacksonmarkovic Jackson Markovic’s Ode to the gay bar where I got an HIV test (2025) is a chaotic, psychedelic video composition that stitches together iPhone footage of Atlanta clubs, ballroom gatherings, and underground performances with staged scenes of friends dancing. The work honors nightlife as a site of care and public health while celebrating queer community through dirt, glitter, and joy. Shown during Pride, it underscores the role of LGBTQ+ spaces as essential centers of resilience, intimacy, and collective healing. In addition to his kaleidoscopic commission, Marcovic’s Baroque Sunbursts will be featured at Pullman Yards through the month of October (presented by Hawkins Headquarters @hawkinsheadquarters ).
