sharing some of my research work on breathwork and altered states of consciousness here 🌀🫁🌬️
breathwork aka high-ventilation breathing (often guided by facilitators, conducted in a group setting and accompanied by music) is known to reduce stress, release emotional trauma and induce altered states of consciousness.
we conducted a study on potentials and risks of breathwork in psychotherapy at @humboldtuniversity together with @marthabreathes and i had the chance to present the results at the Berlin @breathworkdays last year.
