This year, River Sound enters its 5th year by going deeper into the philosophy of sound itself. After years of listening, building, and exploring sound in this forest environment, Sound Vision opens a new educational seminar space inside the festival. A place for local and international voices to share their methods, creative approaches, and ways of thinking through sonic experience. These sessions return to the roots of where River Sound began: sound as a tool for perception, exchange, and connection. Different ranges, tempos, and emotional perspectives come together here, not only to be heard, but to be discussed. The core question guiding the seminar program: why is sonic thinking important in the act of creation? Our next artist announcement for River Sound 2026. @Matas Petrikas [LT / DE] A true pioneer. Born in Lithuania during the Soviet era, Matas co-founded EXEM, one of the first house and techno acts coming out of Lithuania's early independence years. It earned a cult following across the country and the continent throughout the 90s. Now based in Berlin, he is the founder of Dange Records, a label releasing music from Lithuania and beyond, and the author of The Joy of Electronic Music. A member of the SoundCloud founding team, his sets move between the deeper shades techno with a splash of house. Expect ho hear rare finds that only decades of devoted digging can produce.
