Wine Flare is an event series dedicated to representing queer winemakers within the natural wine space. Allowing us to also support + uplift the local queer and wine communities ❤️ Proceeds help us fundraise for future events and cover traveling $$$. Fundraising in larger cities and then taking this to states that need more LGBTQIA+ support across the country! PLEASE SUPPORT OUR WINE FLAIR GOFUNDME CAMPAIGN TO BRING QUEER WINEMAKERS TO STATES WHERE LGBTQIA+ COMMUNITIES ARE MOST AT RISK. (Link in bio) Since 2022, The Vinguard and Co-Fermented have been hosting Wine Flair tastings with queer winemakers throughout the country. These events amplify the work of LGBTQIA+ natural winemakers and provide joy, inspiration and support to queer communities. In 2026, we’re focusing our efforts on areas where LGBTQIA+ rights are under siege, and where queer identified people live in fear for their safety. According to the ACLU, FLORIDA IS THE MOST UNSAFE STATE FOR LGBTQIA+ people, having received an “F” grade because of its high number of discriminatory laws and hate crimes against the LGBTQIA+ community. WE’RE NOT LETTING THAT DETER US! Given the urgency, we’ve chosen the “Sunshine State” for the first two Wine Flairs of 2026.  These tastings are a joyful celebration of queer winemaking and solidarity. We’re starting at Tam Tam, a celebrated queer owned Vietnamese restaurant, in Miami on March 23. Quicksand, a natural wine bar owned by Heather Lavine of Golden Hour, is generously hosting us on March 25. We started a GoFundMe campaign and are hoping to raise  $20,000 by the end of the year and at least $10,000 by Christmas. But we’re not even halfway there. If we reach $10,000, we’ll have enough to take six winemakers with us. WE’RE JUST $2000 AWAY FROM THIS GOAL. CAN YOU HELP? Representation makes a big difference.
