Courtney and Cj will be grillin up Italian sausage sandos on crispy baguette with marinated peppers, parm, & lemony aioli…..yes plzzzzzzzzz. And Roni will be pairing a Tuscan orange pet nat and a delish Lambrusco for the occasion. We’ll also be serving cherry soda and cherry soda soft serve floats. There are several reasons why it feels meaningful and right to be publishing our recent convo with @roni_selects this week:
1) Roni works closely with Georgian winemakers as a form of global equity building essentially and right now the producers there need support more than ever as they fight for freedom (just today it was announced that the authoritarian regime froze bank accounts of civil society organizations)
2) We’re especially disgusted with other large wine distributors like Skurnik Wines for not only carrying tons of wines made on stolen Syrian and Palestinian land, but for posting racist hateful bullshit about Mahmoud Khalil on their socials (since it’s been revealed, been scrubbed 🤔)…grateful to be working with our wine top who has good taste and good values 🥂
3) We have a wildly dreamy collaborative party this Saturday @honeysbrooklyn with @ty_ushka and we’ll be pouring some Roni Selects so you can enjoy and support what we’re trying to grow!
Moral of the story — boycott Skurnik and buy Georgian wines…and be gay 💋✊

Winemaking in Georgia is not just a craft; it’s a tradition that dates back 8,000 years. Despite the industrial winemaking that prevailed during the Soviet era, many of their ancient practices have been restored, and women winemakers have played a massive role in this movement.
This is a unique opportunity to try a range of ten wines from Georgia’s best artisan producers throughout the country, and learn from a renowned expert!

Clémence Lelarge of Champagne Lelarge-Pugeot is visiting on Wednesday, November 13th! What better way to welcome her than pouring many, many, many Champagnes by-the-glass all night long. (Even two different Coteaux Champenois!)
Her family’s 8th generation winery is located in the 1er Cru village of Vrigny in Montagne de Reims. They’ve been farming organically for over a decade, and received Demeter biodynamic certification—no small feat in Champagne. And!—They experiment in natural vinification—indigenous yeast, zero added sulfur, bottling their wines ‘brut nature’ with only natural grape sugars. Their vineyards are mostly planted to pinot meunier, the dominant grape in their entry level ‘Tradition’ cuvée.
