An incredible week of programming here at the Climate Live Entertainment + Culture pavilion! Here, is more than a physical space, it is where we unite for culture based climate action.
This week we have creating space for diverse voices, and programming which inspired collaboration across movements, geographies, and generations.
By weaving together urgency, justice, and joy, we can transform public understanding and collective will — shaping a world where both people and the planet can thrive.
✊ Climate justice must include social justice
We are intersectional in our approach to climate action. We recognise that health, wellbeing, culture, and climate, along with other injustices, are deeply interconnected.
What are we calling for?
📣The COP30 final agreement to prioritise urgent implementation — aligning existing promises and commitments with an actionable roadmap for implementation.
📣For culture and cultural heritage to be recognised as tools for climate action, with culture-based climate solutions already driving positive change.
#COP30
Despite everything, culture stood tall at this COP. We brought together artivists, cultural workers, and creatives who are pushing for the cultural revolution this moment demands.
The COP30 fire took a heavy toll on our teams — including sending one of us to the hospital — but the spirit that brought us here is unbroken. More recaps and highlights are on the way.

Beyond Earth Day / Além do Dia da Terra 🌎✨
On Earth Day, April 22, a new global initiative is landing with a powerful visual: Earth from space, followed by a closer look at the impacts shaping our planet — and a clear invitation to act.
What makes this different is what happens next. Viewers can scan a QR code and immediately enter a global network connecting real solutions, communities, funders and viable pathways to implementation.
This activation marks the beginning of Beyond Earth Day: A Watershed Moment, a week-long global convening, starting on Earth Day April 22 and running until April 30th. The virtual event is hosted within the Maloca COP30 Official Multiverse — a shared digital space where community leaders, practitioners, and cross-sector partners come together to connect solutions, exchange knowledge, and translate awareness into coordinated pathways for real-world action.
Led by Be.Together, Caring for the Future, and WaterUnity Networks, in collaboration with Route to Belém (initiative sponsored by COP 30 Presidency and UNDP Brazil), Artists for Amazonia, Amazon Calling, Sustain Chain, many others, this initiative addresses the “fragmentation gap” in climate action.
Inspired by the Amazon as a living, interconnected system — and the cultures that have long understood this — the effort is designed to move people from awareness into coordinated, collective action.
Last year, @climateliveuk & @stopcambo asked @lovesavesthedayfestival goers whether they thought the proposed Rosebank oil and gas field was HOT or NOT... 🔥❌
The results were clear: 95% of the 195 participants said NOT, 6% said HOT.
🌍 This Earth Week, you can help to help #StopRosebank - the UK’s largest undeveloped oil field. Head to @stopcambo to find out more.
🚌💖 Climate Live are returning to Love Saves the Day this year with the hot pink bus which will feature loads of workshops, DJs, catwalk activities and more. Programme out soon!

How can culture help accelerate the implementation of the Belém Health Action Plan? 🫀
Alan Dangour (Wellcome Trust) and Dr. Ethel Maciel (COP30 Sectoral Envoy for Health) explored how to embed health at the centre of global climate policy. Solitaire Townsend (Futerra) added a crucial reminder: the climate–health story isn’t only about harms - it’s also about how climate action can improve our wellbeing. That’s the part we need to tell more boldly.

“Water cannot heal until we hear its stories.” 🌊
Flow brought together female artists in a cross-continental performance blending rap, hip-hop, and spoken word. The result was a powerful tribute to water - its rhythms, its memory, and the communities it sustains.

#ThrowbackThursday to a BIG learning from COP30:
🕳️ There’s a massive translation gap between climate policy and public imagination.
At COP30, the Climate Live Entertainment + Culture pavilion set out to bridge that disconnect🪡 - through panels, workshops, concerts and cultural interventions that helped connect governance processes with the cultural conditions needed to support them.
🎤 What’s one key learning you took away from COP30?
🎞️ @siddiqui_media
This interactive workshop at @cop30nobrasil explored how climate change is reshaping our health and wellbeing - and how storytelling can help us respond, adapt, and heal. Participants reflected on their lived experiences, then created short videos and narratives for the @healthyplanetnowfilm impact campaign. As @xiyebeara reminded us, “the health of the planet is intrinsically linked to the health of our communities, our descendants, our stories.”

What role do you think artivists and cultural workers should play in shaping healthier futures?🫀
At #COP30, the Climate Live Entertainment + Culture Pavilion put health and culture at the heart of climate action – with the support of @wellcometrust .
From artists and activists to public health experts, these voices remind us of a simple truth:
the climate crisis is a health crisis – and culture is one of our most powerful tools to make that felt, understood, and acted on 📣.
