This year, the cherry blossom celebration extended far beyond the Tidal Basin—right to your phone. 📲🌸 As part of our award-winning City in Bloom® program, Bloom Hunt made possible by our friends at @ARTECHOUSE —invited audiences into an interactive adventure. This springtime scavenger hunt invited visitors to explore and discover hidden digital blossoms across the DC Metro Area. From local businesses to public spaces, the artwork was tucked away to challenge users and build anticipation for Artechouse's grand reopening this summer.

Special thanks to @MarriottBonvoy for their support and participation during the 2026 Festival. One of DC’s biggest spectator events delivered an unforgettable show! The National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade®, presented by @EventsDC brought incredible energy to Constitution Avenue on April 11, 2026, with dazzling floats, performances, and celebrations from across the country. A standout moment came from the “Blooms. Blossoms. Bonvoy. Where can we take you?” float sponsored by Marriott Bonvoy, featuring Audrey Eckert, @MissUSA 2025. Did you know local jeweler, Bloomstone Jewelers, was the selected creator of the official 2025 Miss USA crown (seen in the pics)? The crown features approximately 604 lab-grown diamonds surrounding a striking 70-carat blue topaz, reflecting exceptional craftsmanship. Want to learn more about lab grown diamonds and how the crown was made? CLICK IN THE LINK IN BIO

Thank you, @sycamoreoak , for creating an incredible Blossom Block, transforming their vibrant community space into the Blossom Block Festival 🌸 This celebration featured live entertainment, delicious bites, a giant dragon created by @chrispyrate , and a market featuring over three dozen local vendors. Guests were invited with excitement and joy as they came together to support local businesses and celebrate culture and community in the heart of SE DC. We are still reveling in the memories from the 3rd Annual Blossom Tea Party in March! Thank you to our partner, @eventsdc , for creating the opportunity to welcome more than 250 legacy residents to the Walter E. Washington Convention Center for an afternoon dedicated to honoring the history, experiences, and contributions of the senior community PLUS good bites, great music, and even better company! 🌸 With support from the Department of Aging and Community Living (@dacl_dc ), the event invited seniors from across the DC region to share stories, enjoy meaningful conversation, and indulge in fine teas and lunch—all while dressed in their springtime best! What made this event more memorable were the students from Sojourner Truth High School (@truthmontessori ) who volunteered their time to give back to those who came before. Of course, the afternoon would not have been complete without a visit to the dance floor. From line dancing lessons to springtime joy, this event reflects a commitment to honoring our legacy residents and celebrating their lasting impact on the city.

Eight schools. Nearly 500 K–12 students. One unforgettable cherry blossom season 🌸 Here’s a look at the National Cherry Blossom Festival Student Art Showcase, presented by @amazon , where students from every DC Ward teamed up with local artists to bring their creativity to life through mural-style artworks. Through guided workshops led by Brian Bailey (@brianbaileyisart ), Lea Craigie (@bluehuestudio ), Dieglo (Diego Montoya) (@6ieglo ), Lai (Alaina Wood-Fullmore) (@thelaicollection ), Trap Bob (Tenbeete Solomon) (@trapxbob ), Sophie Schriever (@ms.schriever ), and Dietrich Williams (@dietrichw ), students explored themes of friendship, community, and the beauty of spring—transforming their ideas into vibrant murals that reflect the spirit of the season 🌱 These works were unveiled at BloomFest at the Tidal Basin and will later return to each school, where they will serve as a lasting celebration of student creativity, collaboration, and shared community pride 🌸 We’re proud to celebrate the voices and imagination of students from Bancroft ES, John Francis Education Campus, Hearst ES, KIPP DC College Prep, Phelps ACE HS, Payne ES, Burrville ES, and Center City PCS–Congress Heights. Thank you to @amazon , the participating schools, and the talented artists who helped bring this showcase to life 🌸
