Back in 2022
@buck_design invited me to participate on a very fun rebrand project for a tiny TV channel called Cartoon Network (ever heard of? š). From a lot of the early explorations to final animations and toolkit deliverables, my keyframes were present on many assets of the 360° level rebrand that aimed to bring more inclusivity to the visuals while keeping the fun and vibrant feel.
Full case study is on my website, with more detail over every single asset and with some great explanation/design examples from
@emilia.tonello , who let me borrow some stuff from her case study!!!
Me, a 2000ās kid that grew up watching CN, was amazed to work on this and to see the deliverables being used. The rebrand was given the nickname of āpastel eraā by the huge fanbase, the assets were added to a ton of CN Archive channels and thereās a lot of fan-made recreations of them, which is really fun to see! Itās always hard to rebrand big brands that are associated with pure nostalgia, but I do believe we managed to get a good mix of vintage vibe and inclusivity which was the goal at the end of the day.
Many talented artists worked on this, but I was extra happy to split keyframes with my bud
@filipeconsoni.motion , who helped me a lot on this project (and many others later) ā¤
