“We need a grandma holding a skateboard, falling from cyberspace onto an ostrich that then runs across a desert.” That was the briefing that brought me into this project with the crazy crew at @panicstudio and it turned out awesome! I got to work on the third episode of this series for Samsung, which uses a collage and mixed media language, and luckily I was able to help with a few more insane scenes like this one 👵🏼🛹

Still recovering emotionally from this year’s Anymotion 😮💨 I gotta say how important it is for animation folks to take part in these events — to share experiences, meet our idols, and make new friends. The motion community really needs this kind of space, where we can connect on a more human level and strengthen the bonds we build online. Long live Anymotion!
A lot of people don’t know this, but I also have a background in visual arts. Since life processes tend to overlap and contemporary art has a big influence on my work as an animator — both in terms of design aesthetics and cultural references — I figured I’d start sharing some of that here 🧶
