Capsules deeply thanks the hosts @shahrzadjahan @azadehelmizadeh and attendees of ‘Landscape As A Site of Memory’ who brought a collaborative work to life while sharing a moment and dedicated space with intentions of presence, healing and hope. From event host and tenant @shahrzadjahan ; “Last Saturday we gathered, strangers and friends, around red ochre from the mountains of Iran, birds and flames, and our open hands. What emerged was something none of us could have made alone: marks, presence, and confessions that held us all together. Thank you to everyone who came, who stayed, who gave.” All gathered funds will be donated to Paradise Charity Group, in support of children impacted by war in Iran. Capsules happily makes space as it’s possible for aligned causes - please reach out to us at [email protected]. 💊💊💊

On Saturday May 2nd from 2pm to 6pm @azadehelmizadeh and @shahrzadjahan will collaboratively run the fundraising workshop, ‘Landscape As A Site of Memory’ in the Capsules Studios. About the workshop: This workshop takes the form of a collective mark-making exercise using red ochre pigments, engaging landscape as a site of memory. Grounded in gestures of ritual and grief, it invites participants into an embodied process of reflection, where marks become traces of presence and loss. The session is held as a space of gathering for care، participants may engage in the mark-making process or simply be present, with the workshop remaining open to conversation and quiet reflection. This is a free community workshop with optional cash donations; all proceeds will be collected by the hosts and donated to Paradise Charity Group in support of children and young students currently affected by war in Iran. Eventbrite registration in bio : 12 spots total. 💊💊💊

"Planche LXXXIV" (2026) in support of the @gabusittahchildrensfund at @capsulesstudio In collaboration with @ibrahim.abusitta This is an urgent call to action. Dr. Ghassan Abu Sittah is working on the frontlines to provide essential, life-saving medical care to children displaced and injured by conflict between Gaza and Lebanon. When everything is taken away, coming together to support one another is our most vital act of solidarity. This exhibition runs from April 23 until May 19th. Whether you can attend or donate, please help us amplify this. Every bit of support goes directly towards medical care for children who need it most. Oil on panel, hand carved reclaimed wood, glass beads, vintage Japanese rice pearl 📷 @theothergregm

'Unraveling' was inspired by one of my favorite shapes, the double helix 🧬⚕️ It is the physical shape of our DNA, a symbol of interconnectedness and associated with the medical community. It is also wielded by the messenger god Hermes with the ability to move between worlds 🪽 Please joing us for the opening: 🗓 Thursday, April 23rd ⏰️ 6pm - 8pm 📍1213 Bathurst St
