the longest hopscotch!! and drawing notes~*~ thinking a lot about vulnerability recently and how drawing allows me to share it without having to use words and expose so much *<*~*~*<3
I’m so pleased to be contributing my work to the upcoming fundraiser at @capsulesstudio supporting the @gabusittahchildrensfund in collaboration with @ibrahim.abusitta
This is an urgent call to action. Dr. Ghassan Abu Sittah is working on the frontlines to provide essential, life-saving medical care to children displaced and injured by conflict between Gaza and Lebanon. When everything is taken away, coming together to support one another is our most vital act of solidarity.
This exhibition runs from April 23 until May 19th. Whether you can attend or donate, please help us amplify this. Every bit of support goes directly towards medical care for children who need it most.
Please join us for the opening:
🗓️ Thursday, April 23rd ⏰ 6pm – 8pm 📍 1213 Bathurst St

drawing a precious holding:
194. a) hatch in direction of the arrows holding my stomach with my non-dominant hand
b) take myself to a place where your voice, touch, demeanor are stored
c) inhale, how long can I carry memory through my senses
d) exhale, my heart warm, the surface of my skin tingles
377. today, I’m left to imagine your felt presence
437. draw a line with a loose grip on the pencil - my heart drops to the pit of my stomach.
440. hatch until you visit again - dreams become our new encounters
441. hatch in a fluid motion - when I see you again, I grasp the entirety of your expression, aura, our exchange of emotions
442. I talk to you, move around you, I squeeze your hand. Your other hand felt on my back
a) inhale, I gather all of the senses
b) exhale, store it deep within my body.
