This has been a joy to create and paint for my local area, bringing together snippets of history from the Wanstead Flats and local botanist Dr.Fothergill (who had a collection of around 3,000 different species of plants and flowers documented in his greenhouse that was located in what is nowadays, West Ham Park).

The brief behind the artwork was to shine a light on the lesser known significance the Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens (c1732 - 1859) holds in queer history and unify it with the important values of acceptance and unity Eagle London stands for within the LGBTQ+ community today.

The mural itself is a vibrant, colourful depiction of diversity and unity, capturing the essence of the LGBTQ+ community. It features a tapestry of figures, symbols, and motifs that reflect the rich history and dynamic energy of Eagle London, its patrons, and the Vauxhall area of London.

It’s official. The star of the mural - Stripes - has given his seal of approval! 🐈
If you haven’t been to Newhaven’s famous cat wall yet, we highly recommend a visit. Hundreds of porcelain cats all peering down on passers-by in Ship Street, created by artist and musician Danny McEvoy.
Artist Bec Dennison aka @bulletonastring worked with Danny to design a mural featuring his much loved ginger tom, and it seems that Stripes is enjoying soaking up the limelight.
The resulting artwork ‘Stripes and Stars’ was designed and installed by Bec and her all female team of mural artists. It’s just one stop on our trail of epic murals that have been popping up around Newhaven town centre ahead of the Look Again Super Graphics Festival @lookagainnewhaven which officially gets underway on the 1st June.
14, artists, 16 murals, one month of workshops, artists talks, guided walks, outdoor cinema, crazy golf and MUCH MORE. Loads of free fun for everyone. Come and visit.

✨ A Moment Between Chaos and Calm ✨
This mural for the Given Wilson Institute is about pausing, even briefly, in the midst of everything that pulls at us.
A hand rises into clarity, a dove rests, blossoms fall, fish scatter. All little moments in time and fleeting signs that time is precious.
The stained-glass style connects to the building’s past as a church and the bricked archway it now fills, without being tied to any one faith. For me it was about creating a piece that holds stillness, reflection, and peace for all who pass and use the space.
Big thanks again to @7thnewhamscouts and Given Wilson for having me back to create something in this unique spot.

“Beast About Town” The Broadstairs sea monster has surfaced 👀 Inspired by local folklore of a great beast off the Kent coast, I imagined what it might get up to during Folk Week…drinks, music, food and a moonlit swim.
The tentacles hold details tied to the town and to the family who commissioned this mural: a toy lifeboat, a tiger duck, a Spanish gilda, a floating sign.
Huge thanks to the family for commissioning the work, and to @jaxsbarbers__uk for lending their wall (and iconic black backdrop) as the canvas. Sketch lines and first layers going down in the sun 🌞 How perfect are those colour names for a seaside town..!
This wall was always painted black to fit @jaxsbarbers__uk branding, so I worked with it, layering a Mediterranean palette of orangey-reds, blue and gold, colours that also connect back to Spain, a place with resonance for the client.
And how many jobs come with afternoons painting with a cold beer and popcorn - dream clients! 🍻🍿
