rare sighting of my face these days ( outside of stories, that is)🤎 if we just started following each other or you’re new here: hi, i’m Bree. I'm a queer photographer , based in Brooklyn. i’ve been photographing for a very long time, but more recently made the leap to doing it full-time. i love photography. i love visuals. i love storytelling. i love creating. but recently i’ve had to sit with how hard it is to balance doing what you love for a living while still creating work that feels like you — i’ve been calling it “heart work” lately, and it’s a real thing. in the meantime, i’m working on planning some heart work with one of my close friends @kyraandrws , and i genuinely can’t wait to share it with you all and possibly photograph some of you for it. 🖤 for now, here’s my face. and a few photos (old and new) that i’m really proud of.

One of the many reasons I love doing stills and bts photography is capturing the "other" side of the narrative. While the cinematographer focuses on the scripted action, I’m looking for the quieter moments between those takes, and the angles that help tell the same story from a different perspective. Whether it's a TV show, a movie, or a music video, BTS and stills aren't just "extra" content, they’re a different way of witnessing the same creative truth. A massive thank you to the brilliant @madsrich for bringing me onto this one. Mads is a powerhouse director and artist, and it was a total privilege to document the world they built for @PigMilknyc .
