Big life update!
I've come to the end of a wonderful 2 and a bit years working with such incredible people at Emmyland. I'm so grateful to have been involved with so much, especially with the work we did for BSC Expo this and last year.
For the first time, I'll be out here on my own - ready to take on new side quests with a big adventure planned at the end of year.
Until then, I'll be free for any camera assisting, fun little DP projects or any graphic design shenanigans.
wowowow 2+ years at emmyland?! i feel like when i arrived i barely knew my LBUS from my RBQRP!!* the amount i’ve learnt and grown both on set and off during my time as a kitroom tech truly makes my head hurt. i’m so endlessly grateful to have been able to share this space with the emmyland team and also the incredible creatives who help make emmyland such a unique kit house. now it’s time for me to get out on set without the comfort of the delivery van. hmu for all your loading needs, ya girl is freelance (again)!!

Thank you to everyone who visited & spent time with us in our millennial teenage bedroom set at the @bsc_expo@bscine show and to our whole team here at Emmyland for making this show a reality. We believe this was our best bsc show yet & may be also the best thing all of us have ever done.
& if you thought the set and booth that we built, designed and decorated was extraordinary… keeping in mind it was our first time ever art directing and set decorating anything… imagine how good we are at what we actually do every day & have done every single day for the last 10 years as a camera rental house 😉
What a special time it was for us to commemorate our 10 year anniversary as a company with you all and everything we’ve created and built since 2015. This was a wonderful show to remember that and celebrate all that we stand for & all of the wonderful people in our beautiful community.
A huge and extra special thank you to the legend that is @jamiemkorn for creating this film & our previous launch film that we shared previously. This guy directed & shot everything for us in the nick of time as well as working at the show with us, lighting our booth & set & shooting & socialising throughout the day whilst also creating all of the content we released from the mini dv camera during the show. We will post something longer as a special tribute for Jamie soon but until then please consider hiring this guy for your next everything…. He is an absolute superstar & artistic mastermind.

💡 We are hiring & looking for a new Assistant Kitroom Manager to join our team 🧠💻 🎥
The Assistant Kitroom Manager plays a key role in keeping the kitroom running smoothly. Instrumentally, you will be a direct support for the Kitroom Manager in managing the daily kitroom operations. You will be responsible for managing consumables & inventory, ingesting new kit, assist with lens maintenance, and ensure paperwork and communication across departments is clear and organised. You’ll provide technical support during preps while maintaining a professional and friendly working environment.
A large portion of the kitroom admin you will be responsible for is the missing and damaged equipment processes. This requires liaising with bookings & clients, as well as coordinating repairs and servicing for any kit that is damaged.
This is a position suited to someone sociable who lives and breathes film gear, wanting to take a step up into a management position. A UK Driving License is not required but is preferred.
