Seeing my 𐓏𐒰𐓓𐒰𐓓𐒷 𐓁𐒻𐒼𐒰𐓓𐒻 on the red carpet was such a beautiful moment. Thank you @chadarenfro for inviting me to the NYC premiere of @killersoftheflowermoon To see US on the Big screen was overwhelming and phenomenal. Excited for the world to see this important film and to understand that more than 20% of our Headrights are in NON-Osage hands. A direct result from the atrocities that were committed against us and that are featured in this film. #wahzhazhealways #osage #killersoftheflowermoon #martinscorsese

Marjory Stoneman Douglas came to Sasha in a dream and inspired them to learn more about the lands they call home, The Everglades 🐊 Sasha made this beautiful Documentary about the River of Grass and before I was asked to Moderate the Q+A I didn’t know much about The Everglades and just how unique and special they are. Thank you to our Miccosukee and Seminole Relatives who continue to fight to save their homelands and Thank You to @sashawortzel for Dreaming🐚🌊✨
An Ode to my GallBladder
Goodbye gallbladder you served me well, all the bile in the world couldn’t stop you.
But now it’s time to extract you from me. I won’t miss you and what I endearingly called “My little Spells” like I was some sort of Victorian widow.
The spell was a demons clench of pain and agony to my abdomen.
They say we don’t even need our GallBladders anymore.
They are from caveman times when we couldn’t break down our mastodon meats.
Evolution has evolved us🌀
You were removed, but not without a fight.
One last diabolical spell to remember you by.
An organ should be respected after all.
You housed a golf ball sized stone and now you are relieved of your duties to Go where all castaway organs go.
I was asked by my Tribe to host a podcast series about our tribal government. This series was/is intended to celebrate and educate our Nations Sovereignty. We were scheduled to speak with Chief Jim Gray on Thursday morning, but he wasn’t feeling well so we decided to reschedule. Chief left this world later that day. I wanted to ask and listen to all he had to say about being a catalyst for change for our peoples rights and self governance. Before he ratified our Constitution, as Chief of the Osage Nation, Our people were living under a government imposed on us by the United States. I also wanted to tell him about the first time I heard him speak. When I was in grade school in Wichita, Ks he came to speak to all the NDN kids at the Title VI day at the Indian Center. They introduced an Osage man who was to speak to us and that was Jim Gray. I still remember his graphic black and white suit. I paid extra attention cuz he was Osage like me. He told us that we come from good people and they had good ways and that we can learn about them if we wanted to. He emphasized education and knowing Who we are. He told us that WE Were Somebody. He gave us visibility even if just in our own eyes. I Was somebody, and I could be anything I wanted to Be. I wanted to thank him and let him know that he empowered little Amy. It is touching to hear all of the wonderful tributes made to Chief Gray since his passing. He empowered many through out his career. He did so with humility, humor, and a genuine desire to help people. He gave US our Sovereignty AND demonstrated how good a human can be. Rest in Power and Peace Profound, Chief Gray.
