Aug, 2026 032c Workshop Kantstraße 149, 10623 Berlin @032c presents a new installation by Zuzanna Czebatul, developed in collaboration with USM, at the 032c store on Kantstraße. Czebatul’s work examines the visual language of power—drawing on architecture, monuments, and institutional design to question how authority is constructed and aestheticized. For this project, she transforms the space through an installation realized in collaboration with USM, the Swiss furniture manufacturer known for its iconic modular design system. Also presented is a DJ booth designed by Czebatul for 032c’s pirate radio station. Throughout the duration of the installation, the booth will regularly broadcast cultural programming from the space. The project highlights the cultural significance of interdisciplinary collaboration by bringing together art, design, and media within a shared spatial experience. Jasmin Preiß beschäftigt sich mit dem Thema Strand als Lebensraum, der Beziehung von Mensch und Tier und die Auswirkungen des Menschen auf die Natur. Der Kurzfilm „Beach“ zeigt die Kraft, Schönheit und gleichzeitig die Verletzlichkeit eines Habitats und schlägt vor, mit kindlicher Neugierde auf der Magie des Moments zu treiben, aus dem der Film gemacht ist. Die kleinformatigen Keramiken sind ebenfalls von der Unterwasserwelt inspiriert und wirken wie Fundstücke von einem Strandtag. Sie entstanden in Zusammenarbeit mit ihrer Tochter Maeve. On view @artlaboratoryberlin Signs of the Times: Unmasked DAY 1/5 Today, we’re starting a new format for our exhibition “Signs of the Times.” Over the next five weeks, until the end, we’ll take a closer look at Karolina Żyniewicz’s show. Our first spotlight is on the Gram-staining bacterial specimens. These specimens are from the first step in identifying the microorganisms found on the mask samples. After guessing the species based on the colonies, Karolina determined whether the bacteria were Gram-positive or Gram-negative. So, what is Gram-staining? And what does it mean to check if bacteria are Gram-positive or Gram-negative? Gram staining is a basic microbiology method that classifies bacteria into two groups—Gram-positive (purple) and Gram-negative (pink or red)—based on their cell walls. The steps include heat-fixing a smear, adding crystal violet, fixing with iodine, washing with alcohol or acetone, and finally staining with safranin. To view the paintings, visitors must first navigate Barta’s installation: 490,000 ball bearings covering the entire floor. Often artists are encouraged to struggle through uncertain times while maintaining a secure and steady facade. In this exhibition there is no stable footing, literal or otherwise. HUA WANG @huawang_wanghua will return to Berlin with a new exhibition during BERLIN GALLERY WEEKEND. This time, she partners with @emanuelheim for the duo show NATURAL INVERSIONS, curated by New York–based @john.silvis.art The opening will take place on April 30, from 3pm to 8pm, at Lottumstraße 14, and the exhibition runs until May 16, when the finissage will be held from 6 pm to 9 pm. As Silvis writes in his curatorial statement: “History tells us there is nothing new under the sun. Yet human nature continually presses forward, driven by innovation—new technologies, new methodologies, and the rapid automation of information. To begin answering that question, Andreas Greiner and composer Louis McGuire spent a week at the Art and Nature Foundation in Nantesbuch — Invinting musicians playing tuba, alpine horn, keyboard and cello to play for the animals, listening as much as performing. The result: Concert for Mammals. A live, immersive experiment that asks if it is possible to center a non-human animal as the intended audience of music. Join us for the first showing in Berlin! In ’The Ego Trip Collection’ Kubiak confronts the viewer with existential questions through a rapid montage of images, black humour, and explicit imagery.
