Saturday, December 20 is the last day to see my show at @t_i_m_e_s_h_a_r_e . This has been a special one! Extra special thank yous to @abababab1452104 and @brandon_bandy 📸Happy holidays everybody. 💀 Amanda Ross-Ho Untitled Seizure (EVERY DAY IS THE SAME), 2025 Questions, problems, missing parts? NOTE: Rotate the body so that the Skeleton is facing upwards. I’ll light the fire, while you place the flowers in the vase that you bought, today. SHIPS FAST! Wait a minute, this is Death, here. I’ve never been to New York City. Jesus, I’ve never been anywhere. Adjust the (2) Coat so that the fur is not blocking the Sensor. Spring is right around the corner, five months or so. And your Skeleton will certainly be the center of attention with this eye-catching costume. Every day is the same. People just say things, you know? Pick up where you left off. This bag is not a toy. Thank you to everyone who came to our performances of 24-HOUR CARE at the Japan Pavillion, La Biennale Venezia. It has been a tremendous honor to develop this project with FXR member Ei Arakawa-Nash in dialogue with his wildly successful @japan_pavillion_vb2026 presentation Grass Babies, Moon Babies, curated by Mizuki Takahashi @mizukit0730 and Lisa Horikawa @horikawa_lisa and commissioned by the Japan Foundation @japanfoundation . This work deepened our commitment to relational forms, generative collectivity, and one another. We are endlessly grateful to Sarah Cooper @sarahannecooper and the Getty @gettymuseum for co-producing this project and its precursor at the Getty. Thank you Sergei Tcherepnin @sergeitcherepnin for sublime sounds. Thank you to all who showed up and supported us given chaotic conditions, weather and otherwise. We love you. ✨🤰🏻✨🧑🏽‍🍼✨🤰🏽✨🧑🏻‍🍼✨🤰🏼✨🫃🏻✨🫄🏻✨

FAC XTRA RETREAT (FXR) is a collective composed of members Ei Arakawa-Nash, Patty Chang, Pearl C. Hsiung, Amanda Ross-Ho, Anna Sew Hoy, Shirley Tse, and Amy Yao. FXR’s ongoing project is an act of collective learning, consolidating diasporic subjecthood, embodied knowledge, and dynamic pedagogy, shaping it into new relational forms. 24-HOUR CARE explores the incessant nature of caring—for students, children, elders, community, and each other—acknowledging this labor as endlessly rewarding as well as depleting. Through direct engagement with the institutions as reproductive entities, FXR channels embodied communal energy into generative acts of co-nurturing. FXR will directly engage Ei-Arakawa-Nash’s installation Grass Babies, Moon Babies at the Japan Pavillon, Venezia in two performances on May 8 and 10, 4pm A co-production of the Getty @gettymuseum and Japan Pavillion @japan_pavilion_vb2026

As part of Asia Forum: Minor Feelings, artist collective FAC XTRA RETREAT (FXR) will present a live performance unfolding within the programme at 2:30pm. Formed in 2022, FXR brings together artists Ei Arakawa-Nash, Patty Chang, Pearl C. Hsiung, Amanda Ross-Ho, Anna Sew Hoy, Shirley Tse, and Amy Yao. The collective emerged through the Asian American Pacific Islander Arts Network (AAPIAN), connecting artists and art workers based in California. FXR’s performances are collaborative and process-driven, often activating relationships between artists, audiences, and institutions through collective action and improvisation. For Asia Forum, the performance is developed in association with the Japan and Korea Pavilions. FXR’s performances at the Japan Pavilion are a co-production and continuation of a J. Paul Getty Museum programme first performed at the Getty Center, extending an ongoing exploration of performance as a shared and evolving practice. -- FAC XTRA RETREAT (FXR) is composed of Ei Arakawa-Nash, Patty Chang, Pearl C. Hsiung, Amanda Ross-Ho, Anna Sew Hoy, Shirley Tse, and Amy Yao — artists whose practices span performance, installation, video, sculpture, and socially engaged work. Alongside their individual practices, all members are also educators across art schools and universities, bringing a shared commitment to collective learning, experimentation, and exchange. Working both individually and collaboratively, their practices engage questions of identity, ecology, history, and the social conditions of artistic production, often foregrounding participation, embodiment, and relational forms of making. 📸Image credits: FAC XTRA RETREAT (FXR) performance at the Getty Center, March 15, 2026. It’s Earth Day! 🌎 What better way to celebrate than with Amanda Ross-Ho’s site-specific performance Untitled Orbit (MANUAL MODE), 2026, featured at this year’s Frieze Projects. @Ross_Ho rolled a 16-foot inflatable Earth around the perimeter of the fields continuously throughout fair hours at Frieze Los Angeles. Echoing the rotation of the Earth on its axis and around the sun, Ross-Ho’s performance is her longest to date, testing physical limitations of the human body and offering viewers a meditation on time, scale, and the labor of art and existence. Hi, we are FXR. FAC XTRA RETREAT (FXR) is composed of members Ei Arakawa-Nash, Patty Chang, Pearl C. Hsiung, Amanda Ross-Ho, Anna Sew Hoy, Shirley Tse, and Amy Yao. All are artists who teach in various Southern California art schools and universities, some are parents, and some are not. This shared experience informs their work. In 2022, they connected in the context of the Asian American Pacific Islander Arts Network (AAPIAN) @aapiartsnetwork , a group of artists and art workers based in California.
