Mazda ‘Road Trip Series’ Upstate NY in partnership with Wildsam
Our second project in an ongoing series with @mazdausa and @wildsam – directed by @belleleighsmith and photography by @caseysteffens , with production & post-production by @bodeyco
In partnership with Wildsam, we approached this project through an editorial, travel-driven lens, blending brand storytelling with a deeply personal point of view. Grounded in Belle’s poetic approach to her personal projects and short films, the creative unfolded as an adventure-led shoot upstate, moving through Stone Ridge Orchard, Rosie’s General in Kingston, and the Little Deep in Woodstock.

Mawmaw by photographer and director @bigtonewhippinwork is an intimate, long-term exploration of West Virginia’s grandfamilies, households where children are raised by their grandparents.
“What began as a documentary project quickly became babysitting, dinners, holidays, birthdays, and deep relationships. These families welcomed me as one of their own. Most visits I would hardly photograph at all. I would spend entire days with them and they would never let me leave hungry. I came to understand each family’s unique circumstances and how crucial their Mawmaws are in their lives.” - @bigtonewhippinwork
