There is too much incredible work from the issue to fit in one post but I first wanted to highlight
@kovi.konowiecki ’s trip down the Mother Road in October. Route 66 is a journey so iconic, so instilled in the photographic canon that it was intimidating to assign. I knew I needed to collaborate with someone with a insatiable curiosity for people, a delicate approach to portrait making, some real grit for 6 days of driving and photographing sunrise to sunset- and a practice that referenced the history of The Road ™ while transcending into something unseen and sublime. Kovi is all of that and more- and I’m still coming back to this work, finding little surprises again and again. The tragedy of photo editing is there is still so much magic to share, the moments and people found in between these 6 stops that couldn’t fit into the confines of a print feature. But there’s more Kovi brilliance to come at wildsam.com 🖤
