A few moments from a short doc “Luigi” that premiered at @sundanceorg 2026 and is now streaming online @rollingstone directed by @lizamandelup When Luigi Mangione is charged with murder, he becomes the subject of fevered obsession. Through letters, fantasies, and conspiracies, strangers turn Luigi into a cultural sensation and a canvas for their rage, desire, and misplaced hope.  Liza and I set out to make something intimate - An experience that feels less like “watching” and more like spending time with the people inside it. We wanted the audience to feel like they were in the room with our subjects, sharing their space, and really sensing their presence as they read these letters.
