Now that I’m not trying to surprise anyone. Wanted to show off a piece of my loot. Coffee box illustration from Goodbye Dragon Inn, painted by Tsai Ming-liang, signed by Tsai Ming-liang and Lee Kang-sheng. Bought this at their home on the Taipei mountains. Long story how that happened, but I feel very lucky.
Hou Hsiao-hsien’s handmade poster made specifically for its premiere in Venice, now hanging at a restaurant in Jiofen, where both Dust in the Wind and City of Sadness were shot
I had the opportunity today to recreate a scene from my favorite director’s film at the location where it was shot (a location that likely won’t exist a year from now). Anyone who knows will immediately recognize it. I am so thankful to Hou Hsiao-hsien and to my partner @chienchien0409 for making this happen, and for being the actress for this recreation.
Got my first tattoos yesterday from @sakay_ink her work speaks for itself, but she was also an amazing person. Her vibe is very cool, and she was very patient. She apologized to me multiple times for poor English but her English is light years ahead of my Chinese. I love my new little creatures so much. Only a few people will understand the reference but my little green monster is named Boojie and my robot is named Chunky Little Spaceman.
Went to The Shed yesterday for my bday. Great time. Very good exhibits in the galleries. This is gallery 2. Reminded me of Line Describing a Cone and other McCall works.
