Yesterday, I gave the closing speech at @beautyinthemotherland 2025 (BITML) Africa’s largest and most defining beauty event. It was a powerful reminder that our beauty and wellness industry is more than lifestyle; it is innovation, jobs, and trade. ✨
With Nigeria’s beauty market valued at $7.8B in 2023, this sector is already a growth engine. Under the AfCFTA, beauty and cosmetics can unlock even greater opportunities from value-added exports and MSME growth to intra-African trade that connects our entrepreneurs with a continental market of 1.3 billion people.
