#HerNetwekExclusive 💖 In a digital age defined by disposable connections and performative romance, Dr. Lauretta Ogbum (@lauretta_activator ) is a breath of academic and soulful fresh air. With a career that began in the high-stakes, high-pressure world of corporate energy and security risk assessment, Dr. Lauretta understands “threat levels” not just in the field but in the human heart. Today, she has traded security cordons for psychological breakthroughs. An executive council member of the Life Coaches Association of Nigeria (LCAN), she is the founder & lead therapist at Activator Coaching Academy and the author of the soon-to-be-released book, Intentional Love. She is helping a generation of high-performing people realize that the most important risk mitigation strategy they will ever employ is the one they apply to their own emotional wellness. Married for 25 years and equipped with a coaching certification and a PhD in psychology, she doesn’t just theorize about love; she has engineered it. We sat down with the woman redefining African relational intelligence to discuss why “becoming the right person” is the only career and personal move that truly matters. Read our conversation with her on our website (link in bio)💖 - #HerNetwork  www.hernetwork.co

#HerNetworkDigitalCover ❤️ “Power, in its most meaningful form, is not simply about authority or position. It is the capacity to influence reality, to shape decisions, institutions, and long-term outcomes. But I also believe that power should be understood primarily as responsibility. The greater the influence someone holds, the greater their responsibility toward the people and systems affected by their decisions.” We are excited to introduce Elena Miro K (@elenamirok ), our digital cover personality for MAY! 💃🏽 Elena Miro K is a West African strategist working at the intersection of influence architecture, leadership perception, and institutional communication. With a background spanning media, entrepreneurship, and strategic advisory, she works closely with executive leaders, emerging political figures, and decision-makers to help them align leadership posture, public perception, and long-term vision. Certified in Personal Branding Strategy (CPBS – Personal Branding France), Elena’s work goes beyond traditional communication or visibility strategies. Her approach focuses on coherence, authority, and credibility, helping leaders embody influence rather than perform it. She is also an author of six published works. Her book Le Miroir is officially recommended in the school curricula of Benin and Togo through ministerial directives. Her most recent book, Penser. Être. Devenir. – Quête d’une Phenomenal Woman was published in France in April 2025 and prefaced by Bineta Diop, former Special Envoy of the African Union on Women, Peace, and Security. An English-language edition of the book is forthcoming in the UK. In parallel, Elena Miro K. is the founder of the Women’s Empowerment Foundation, where she contributes to leadership development and empowerment initiatives for women and youth across Africa. She is also a regular contributor to @elle_afriquefrancophone , where she writes on influence, identity, and leadership in contemporary African contexts. “People pleasing feels harmless... until you realize how much of yourself you’ve lost doing it. The right people will respect your boundaries. The wrong people will guilt-trip you for having them.” - @kiitana on #PeoplePleasing 🤏🏽💖

🇿🇦 Andiswa P. Gebashe (@andi_signs ) has been named a recipient of a South African National Order, the highest award given to citizens who have made a significant impact on the lives of South Africans, and we love to see it! 😍 For years, Andiswa has worked selflessly to break barriers for the Deaf community. She has made national events accessible and championed Deaf representation in arts, media, and education. Her work quietly but powerfully reminds us that inclusivity is not optional; it is a right. On Tuesday, 19 May 2026, President Cyril Ramaphosa will honour her at the National Orders investiture ceremony, together with other recipients of the Order of Ikhamanga, the Order of the Baobab, the Order of Mapungubwe, and the Order of the Companions of OR Tambo. Andiswa will receive the Order of Ikhamanga, which recognizes South African citizens who have excelled in the fields of arts, culture, literature, music, journalism, and sport. This is what nation-building and inclusion truly mean. This is what it looks like to support people who are too often overlooked. Congratulations, Andiswa. The nation sees you! 💖🙌🏽 #WomenOfImpact #AndiswaGebashe
