🎁 Why have an End of Year Wrapped when you can have a 4-year wrap?! We're excited to premiere this glorious film by @northernfortressfilms and show off what we've been up to since we started back in 2019. Huge thanks to everyone who contributed to the making of it, it truly warms our hearts that you all shared your time to tell us what you think of us 💞 🎊 Here's to a fun and creative 2024! We can't wait to share even more artist opportunities with you as we embark on the final stretch to becoming the 2025 UK City of Culture. Thank you to all the artists and supporters who gave us their time and love to create this film. Additional footage by Jack King, Pishdaad Modaressi, Kimia Modaressi and Wayne Sables. Brilliant article from @tsotarts on our Connecting Culture: The Bradford Way conference, 'The Bradford Way: how 2025’s momentum continues'. "Bradford’s year as the City of Culture was “a moment of collective self-recognition, in which an inclusive city saw its creativity reflected back at itself on a huge scale”. But now, its legacy is beginning to take shape in more embedded and long-term ways; through skills development, creative networks and renewed confidence across the sector." We're proud to see the thoughts of some of our facilitators included in this article, talking passionately about our talent development programmes here at Bradford Producing Hub 🖤 “There is no reason that the brilliant artists in and around Bradford should not be able to support and encourage each other as they go on their independent journeys” – Lou Cope, BPH Sustain facilitator “I am seeing stronger confidence, stronger self-belief, more strategic thinking and a healthier mindset around value, negotiation and growth”, Minoti Parikh, BPH Expanding Horizons facilitator "As Bradford moves beyond its year in the spotlight, it is not simply maintaining energy but building on it, creating the conditions for artists, organisations and communities to thrive well into the future." We're developing a new Bradford District Music Strategy, and we need your input. If you’re part of the local music community, this is your chance to help shape what comes next. This survey is part of wider conversations happening across the district, helping us understand what’s working, the challenges, and where we should go from here. It takes approximately 7–10 minutes to complete, and your responses will directly influence the strategy. Head to the link in our bio @bdproducinghub to take part. Deadline: Sunday 31 May at 11 PM

In the music industry we talk a lot about gigs, growth, promotion, opportunities… but not enough about how people are actually doing. Being part of a music scene can be unreal, exciting, creative, fun, busy… but it can also be exhausting, isolating, and a lot to carry, especially with the million roles musicians have to take on nowadays! A lot of the time whilst also juggling a part or full-time additional job to support themselves too. So we want to ask something simple: What support would actually help you right now? Not generic advice. Not “just keep going.” Real support. It could be: - mental health - money - community - confidence - burnout - overwhelm - something else entirely Drop a comment, DM us (it will be Bradford Music Scene's Charlotte & Darren checking the messages) , email us: [email protected] or just sit with the question. We’re listening. Properly ❤️ We’re especially interested in hearing from musicians, promoters, and people working in music, but this is open to everyone. #bradfordmusicscene #mentalhealthmatters❤️

ATTENTION BRADFORD MUSICIANS & MUSIC FOLKS!🎶 Something important is happening for Bradford music right now. We’re working alongside the Bradford District Music Strategy (set up by Bradford Producing Hub) to make sure the voices of grassroots musicians, promoters and venues are part of shaping what comes next. These sessions aren’t just chats, they’re where ideas around gigs, opportunities, support and the future of the scene start to take shape. If you’ve ever said: “Bradford needs more…” this is where that conversation actually happens. We really want to make sure everyone is represented, particularly musicians, because if you aren’t in the room, decisions get made without you. We’ll be there, making sure grassroots is properly represented and we'd love you to come join us 😊 If you want to get involved, all the dates/locations/times for the sessions are on the last page, you can come to one or all, it's up to you. Free refreshments will be provided If you can't make it but want to have your say you can email us at: [email protected] or contact BD Music Strategy directly If you need any support coming to any of the sessions/need access support funds for travel or want greeting at the door just send us a message and we'll be happy to help 👌 We are so excited for the music future of Bradford ❤️ Music on the post by Bradford/Leeds band @happydaggers #bradfordmusicscene #bradfordmusic #grassrootsmusic #bradfordmusicstrategy #wearefrombradford

Visual artists! Our next social is on Tuesday 5 May at @ilkleymanorhouse Join us from 6 PM to meet up with friends and meet other creative folk from Bradford. At this event, we'll be thinking together about how we collectively own and sustain the visual arts community, and the socials in particular. There will be space to discuss future plans and ideas for how these evenings continue. We'll also host a fuddle/potluck - so bring food to share or a pack-up for yourself. Chats over food are one of our favourite ways to connect. If you have any unused arts and craft supplies, we'll also have our Material Swap Table - so bring them along so they can find a new home. To register for this free event, head to the link in our bio @bdproducinghub If you've never been before but are curious to attend, these events are super laid-back and friendly. You're more than welcome - and to bring a friend if you like.

Hosted by Alison McIntyre (BPH) and Sophie Powell (Freelance Artist & Producer), with a room full of people who’ve probably faced the same questions you have.
