📢 Our Monthly Meets are retuning to BD Arts Centre at the end of April.
🎉 Come hang out, chit chat, play some games and meet community.
❤️ See you on Wed 29 April for the first one.
Important - BBBQ Ground rules for collective care and safety for those attending and participating in our events:
Founded in 2019 by local queer people of colour, BBBQ is a grassroots space run with love, not funding. We hold regular meetups and events for Queer People of Colour (QPOC) in Bradford and beyond. This is a space for connection, joy, and community
If you attend our events, here’s how we flow
We ask everyone to help protect the space we’ve built together:
• Treat everyone with care, kindness, and respect • Honour people’s identities, pronouns, and lived experiences • No inappropriate behaviour, harassment, or unwanted attention • Ask for permission before messaging someone privately • Respect people’s privacy — not everyone is out • Don’t share photos, names, or personal details without consent • Keep things shared at events private unless told otherwise • Bring energy that’s generous, joyful, and community-minded
This is your space too — if you’ve got ideas, we’d love to hear them.
What we don’t allow We have zero tolerance for:
• Harassment or inappropriate behaviour of any kind • Racism, transphobia, homophobia, sexism, ableism, xenophobia, or discrimination • Gossip, invasiveness, or unkindness
Anyone who disrespects these boundaries may be asked not to return. Admin decisions are final.
With love, BBBQ team 🧡🧡🧡
We had a beautiful Saturday spent with @stacymakishi for the Walking each other home workshop ✨️
It was super super special; connecting, laughing, playing, listening, eating & just being! Big Big thanks to @bdproducinghub for supporting us to make this happen.
Biggest take away was to listen and play!!
🥰🥰💜💜
Thanks so much to Bradford Producing Hub and Bradford Black & Brown Queers for this weekend’s workshop at the Assembly, a co-working space. This was meant to run during Bradford City of Culture 2025 but we had to rearrange due to illness. Thanks for all the reworking - we’re so glad this happened in the end!
Next stop for Stacy and Walking Each Other Home is this coming Saturday at Sussex’s Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts, co-presented by them and Marlborough Productions 🌳

im well pleased seeing people enjoyed the food, with glitter on faces and henna on hands. 🙌🥰🕺🪩
