You can presave today at the link in bio 🤍🪩 ‘UNIVERSAL LOVE: 10 YEARS OF LOVE INJECTION’ is inspired by a decade of dancing, new faces turned chosen family, life-affirming moments on the dancefloor, respect for our teachers and driving curiosity for what’s next. We are so grateful to everyone who’s come into our musical lives—friends and co-conspirators, anyone who sat at a listening session, sought out or contributed to issues of our fanzine, listened to our shows on @thelotradio , sported our merch, supported our label... from NYC to all the places music’s taken us around the world. Musically speaking the compilation was selected and sequenced in the way a night out with us would sound. Some of the songs are brand new, some are available for the first time on the various formats and all have proven to excite us listen after listen. It’s an honor to put these down on wax to be shared by all of you, however you choose to live with it. We’ll be sharing more context as the weeks pass. ‘UNIVERSAL LOVE: 10 YEARS OF LOVE INJECTION’ will be available as a 3XLP, digital with a continuous mixed version exclusive to Bandcamp. The first single, @gigitesta__ ’s ‘Oriental Express’ (heard in this video) is out May 1. So much love to BBE: Pete, Julia, Jeff, Daryl for their support and stewardship over the last few years.

Mom is in the @nytimes today highlighting a personal favorite from the @impulserecords catalog. There are so many must know, well loved, canonical recordings on the label… but the ask was to dig deeper. Ultimately I chose to talk about Gato Barbieri, renowned Argentine saxophonist and composer, via ‘Encuentros’ off his Chapter One: Latin America album from 1973. Saturday’s dance was our first since becoming parents. Grateful for the many faces we saw, offerings of congratulations, gifts. It was a heavy one! Our first night being away from Rocco for more than 90 mins. We needed to be held down, and you came through. Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers who are working overtime to nurture, raise, be a safe space, educate, anticipate, improvise, protect their kids on the daily 24/7 and somehow making room to find themselves again (send tips) — mothers create, nourish, and carry the world on their shoulders. Motherhood is the ultimate portal and godlike power! Haven’t journaled since I got pregnant but somehow found space for vulnerability today of all days, swipe if you dare/care.

What is it? We are collecting cash-only donations for members of our extended community that may be going through economic hardship. Just come up to Richard and ask! ✏️ The dancefloor is for dancing. It is a precious space for movement and release. Please be mindful of the energy you bring forth with you. We are all in need of reprieve! ✏️ The soundsystem is wonderfully clear and while it reproduces music beautifully, it does not bury voices :) For the sake of the vibe, please move catchups off to the bar. ✏️ We will have some merch available in the Sound Room! @bodegabruja will be at the table to get your needs sorted. ✏️ The club has a no photo policy.
