Wadada..little post about the last weeks.. I feel blessed to be able to perform music I love and being creative on different occasions w/ people I love. First of all, starting with @berlinatonal still receiving feedback for Tikiman aka Paul St. Hillaire @kynantrecords and my performance. Many thanks for the vibes and all your messages after our show. Also @berlinatonal for the trust letting us create something completely new. It was a hybrid live experiment out of both our comfort zones, based on my curiosity to hear Tiki riding new rhythms, which we never performed before. I just got the recording and based on that night we are planning to do more shows for next year… Going 4h back to back at the beach w/ @calibresignature at legendary @sunandbassofficial festival in Sardinia for their 20th edition was a full trip. So nice to have the chance to play such a long slot on a festival and go deep for a music loving crowd in this beautiful nature surrounding. Thanks to everybody making the followed Rome shows w/ PLO Man & @rbstrada special. Last but not least playing a rare b2b with @markernestus before @abashantiofficial at @openground.club last Saturday.. It felt surreal seeing Aba Shanti playing Studio One’s „Take A Ride“ and then hammering its „Truth & Rights“ riddim in his unique fashion 5 times in a row into the crowd hearts and souls, total goosebumps on this sound system and its room. Thanks to @carharttwip_de & Open Ground for a real musical journey from Roots to current Techno..

Def one of my most favorite Studio one cuts, a masterpiece that goes so hauntingly deep.
„Bongo Red“ is more uptempo with the piano, but also very recommendable. 

Ijahman Levi – Jah Heavy Load Version- Jahmani
„Jah Heavy Load“ got recently reissued via Jah Fingers. This here is the lesser known, later steppers mix.
The version goes under your skin, what a cut.

Paul Blackman – Earth Wind & Fire - Daddy Kool
What I learn to appreciate over the years in Augustus Pablo productions is this ultimate, apocalyptic feeling his music could create. Paul Blackman words here do the rest. Unbelievable. 

Marshall Sleepy – Hangover Style - Bowla Inc
Wackies re-lick with Horace Andy of Diana Ross’ Love Hangover.
This is the DJ Cut, sounds like Prince Douglas here on mixing duties.

Tetrack & Curtis lynch – Chant Dubwise - DKR
So far my most favorite Reggae release this year. DKR from NYC unearthed this beauty from Gussie Clarke’s vaults. Irresistible and coming hard with the horn sections which I barely hear in Gussie’s tunes.

Beres Hammond - Call Me Version - Greensleeves
Gussie Clarke is probably my most favorite Reggae producer ever. For a period his innovative production style was ruling the dance hall in the late 80s. This here was not a hit but doesn’t stand much behind in terms of creativity. 

Jesse Jender - Fear No One Version - Exterminator 
Exterminator by Fatis Burrell is my favorite label in Dub & Dancehall. The version here is too smooth. Outstanding piece in the label catalog.

Veggie Bun - Sound Boy - Bid Daddy Records
Veggie Bun, probably the best artist name ever, late 80s? / early 90s? digi raver.
