New work for @gqI had a great team help me shoot this interview with @jayz about his legendary career. @the_summerman was a true pro.Our director, Nick Collett, wanted our lighting to feel like it’s an intimate conversation in a photography studio with a sky light.We used three fantastic @schmidlibackdrops for our set up while gaffer @that1movie and key grip @dczaczyk rigged up an excellent key light: 4x naked litemat 4’s pointed straight down through a 12’ full grid diffusion. That was our only source of light, nothing else.Camera team helped us so much! Three cheers for cam ops @mike_maliwanag and @brooke_muellerrrr. We also would be completely lost if it wasn’t for our ac @mollyfarrellwhite.The GQ team is my favorite and I always love working with @realsamdennis, @kristen.bo.bisten, and Nick.
