If you have read Have You Seen Gordon?, you know how much Axel wanted to be the star of her own book. Well... That book has arrived! And she is making all her own rules. @ohtruth - the art is just incredible. Thank you, Ruth, for your passion and attention to the smallest detail. I can't wait for everyone to dive into this brand new look and find book! 🚨COVER REVEAL🚨 (and some sneak peeks) @adamjayepstein and my new book is coming Oct 20, 2026! As if we planned it this way, the book is about the hottest animal right now, an axolotl. Packed with funny animals and wildly detailed scenes, this laugh-out-loud picture book companion to Have You Seen Gordon? cleverly riffs on classic seek-and-find books with a main character who’s a little too good at hiding. Pre-order is available wherever books are sold (but if you have the resources, pls try to avoid Amazon 😑)!

Wow! This was unexpected! The Today Show picked up the story about the Chia Pet movie! They have a 2-minute discussion about it and by the end, Jenna and Savannah have declared themselves Team Chia! #chiapet

Look what's been growing on the shelf! I'm so excited to be bringing cinematic life to Chia Pets! I'm thrilled to be on this journey with the incredible team at Ad Populum, owners of the Chia Pet brand, and my creative partners on this adventure, Ari Pinchot and Jonathan Rubenstein of Crystal City Entertainment. This brand was a part of my childhood and I can't wait to watch it blossom on the big screen and the small screen. @necaofficial @unitedtalent @utapublishing @fourthwallmanagement @chiapetofficial @variety

Penny is off to Chapman! As most of you know, we are an incredibly tight family and, for months, I have been anticipating this to be difficult. And yes, I got choked up seeing all the bags of clothes and boxes of makeup and bedding and bags of clothes and the mattress pad and bags of clothes in the living room. It hurt my heart knowing she wasn't going to be down the hall. But once we arrived at Chapman and moved her in, those feelings started to change. Not to say there weren't some more tears.. because there were. But there is a thrill to seeing someone you love end up at a place that you feel she belongs. Now, I'm just feeling joy. And maybe... I'm a little bit jealous because this program she's a part of seems incredible and the late night talks in a college dorm are hard to recreate. I'm thrilled for her adventure ahead! Go Penny! @chapmanu @dodgecollege @seejanecook @chapmanualumni

Yesterday, our very loved Pixel passed away. He was clever, thoughtful, adorable and protective of his pack of humans. On the very first week after adopting him, I took Pixel to the neighborhood pizza parlor. I tied him up outside, got the pizza and came back to him. While untying him from the pole, Pixel bolted. He took off running at full speed. I gave chase with a full pizza in hand. I ran after him thinking “I was about to lose the dog we had only just fallen in love with.“ Then I lost sight of him. I was devastated. When I reached our house, I found him sitting on our front stoop – with a look that said “I know my way back home.”  In just six days, he had fallen in love with us too. Pixel loved two things more than anything else. The first was food. And it is no wonder living in a house with Jane. There was always something delicious to eat. Pixel mastered the art of the beg. He would lay a quiet chin on a leg with his big brown eyes or shove his nose between a pair of thighs to say “more food please.” Pixel became incredibly skilled at carefully unzipping backpacks and suitcases to scrounge for food without damaging the bag. The other thing Pixel loved most of all was being included. The joy he would get when we asked him if he wanted to go on an “adventure” was immense. It wasn’t where we were going… but just that we would all be going there together. The five of us. As a family. I’m going to miss him a lot. I already do. @seejanecook @seejanebakela

That means that Gordon will appear in thousands of libraries across America and in libraries all over the world at US military bases. I'm so excited that kids and families will be able to go into libraries and see Gordon on their wall, pick up Gordon bookmarks and activity pages and hug Gordon stuffed animals! I am thrilled to share some news about my favorite purple tapir, Gordon. If you pick up a copy of Animation Magazine this month, you might just find Gordon peeking out of an egg. That's right! Happy Nest, a Stampede/UTA joint venture, is developing. Have You Seen Gordon? Into a preschool animated series. It has been absolutely amazing working with their incredible team and Ruth Chan to bring this special series to life. Looking forward to many more exciting announcements about this in the future. @happynest @unitedtalent @simonkids @simonandschuster @ohtruth @variety @animationmagazine @pwpics @kendra.levin @fourthwallmanagement @sljournal @derekswitaj
