Before this project, my 35mm experience was limited to loading & lacing ARRI LT, ARRI 435, and two Panaflex cameras, so getting hands-on with the ST for the first time was genuinely exciting 🥰 It was a great pleasure working with everyone on set🙌🏻
When it comes to focus pulling on this camera, the on board monitor is almost impossible to rely on for checking focus. I had to depend mainly on measuring distance by laser + eye focus. Because film stock is very limited, every take required a lot of rehearsal. Due to time constraints, I wasn’t involved during the whole shoot, but no doubt this was definitely one of the best experiences for 35mm film shoots. Can’t wait to see the final film😍😍

Starting my journey in the film & TV industry this April still feels like a dream come true. My genuine love for cameras led me to so many talented people who are just as passionate about what they do. I’m so grateful for everyone I met along the way🥰 It’s been such a wonderful year with all of you🤗

Completed my 1st AC fundamental course at Optical Support @opticalsupport last week and got my certificate 🥰
Most of it was pulling focus without a monitor, getting comfortable with the Preston and the FF4. The highlight (not the pain) was pulling from 60ft to 5’6ft on a 135mm lens at T2 😎Also had a crack at a long steadicam one-take
Massive thanks to Irys @cinesteel 💖🫶🏻 for the guidance and encouragement, and to everyone on the course. Learned loads and definitely feel sharper. Onwards 💪🏻💨

Diving deep into lacing & loading 16mm & 35mm film at NFTS @nftsfilmtv last week 🎞️🎥 From Arri mags to Panavision mags, hours of daily practice went into every load and rewind. There’s truly nothing more fascinating than film loading 🤎🥰🔥Huge thanks to Mike, Charlie @charliescottgray Jason and Ed @edwrdscott for this amazing Course!!
