New Work - SCORPIOS 🦂 Working alongside dream team @borglikegorge @carlmatthews_dp on this collaborative project was amazing. To have an input, a voice, was something in my experience you rarely get as an actor. I wanted to create a piece about alternative grief, about the frustration and anger that runs parallel with sadness, that we so often don’t see represented on our screens and I’m pretty sure we did it. OCD & Chips is OUT NOW 🐟 🍟 Link in my bio ✨——— This film holds such a special place in my heart. Written and directed by the uber-talented @borglikegorge and brought beautifully to life by DP @kershaw_shoots and an amazing team of creatives, it was truly a project of love and lived experience. Too often, OCD in the media is reduced to washing hands or lining things up. Yes, for some, this can be how it presents- but for many, it’s not. OCD is a shapeshifter. A master manipulator. It’s complex and often debilitating: obsessions, compulsions, rumination, rituals, and intrusive thoughts that can consume you, leaving sufferers shadowed by shame and even questioning their own morality. We’ve all heard the phrase, “I’m a little bit OCD.” The truth is, there’s no such thing — there’s nothing “a little bit” about OCD. With OCD and Chips, Joe and I wanted to shine a light on these hidden sides of the condition, bringing honesty- and, of course, comedy (as Joe does best!), to a topic that’s so often misrepresented and misunderstood. As someone who has suffered, and continues to live with OCD, it’s so important for stories like Polly’s to be told!
