His answers explain what the video was actually trying to do, why he skipped a chart-based dynamic range evaluation, and where he sees large-format digital cinema heading next. Ghost Kits showed us the production version of their Specter, a sub-two-pound Wi-Fi router and cellular hotspot that uses a pre-installed multi-carrier SIM to dynamically switch between more than 600 carriers across 190 countries instead of bonding multiple modems. Graham put all 180 pounds of himself on the SWIT X21 field monitor. Then strapped a V-mount battery to it and shoved it off a table. The little light still turned on. SWIT rates the new 21.5-inch X21 for 80kg anti-impact and 80cm drop-proof — a 1,000-nit full HD panel wrapped in an aluminum “rock case” with rubber corners. Kinefinity Vista, a compact full-frame 6K cinema camera with open gate recording, a built-in 240GB SSD, a 4-inch OLED touchscreen, and a Tilta-developed rigging ecosystem. OWC unveiled the Express 4M2 Ultra, a compact DIY four-slot NVMe enclosure that the company says is the first certified Thunderbolt 5 solution of its kind. Radiant Images showed off a 24-iPhone bullet time rig that ditches traditional frame-by-frame interpolation in favor of Gaussian splatting. The result is a fully reconstructed 3D scene the operator can fly through with a virtual camera, retime at will, change focal length mid-move, and even edit at the point-cloud level. SongRaw is back with a budget-friendly twist on their Moonlit autofocus prime lineup. The new Simplified Edition keeps the same optical recipe as the original 50mm and 85mm F/1.2 lenses but drops the aperture ring, sheds 100g (3.5oz), switches to a silver finish, and lands at roughly half the price of the original “flashy” versions.
