2025 was another year where many of my designs were unfortunately topical. ‘Migration is Natural’ should probably be #1 because I released it at the end of October and it already became #5 overall for the whole year’s sales but I’m not going to do all that math for the rest of the sales vs release dates. Anywayyyy any time that people feel the need to clarify that they're anti fasc is a bummer, but happy to at least make it an aesthetically pleasing bummer. Fuck off 2025! Here’s hoping that 2026 requires less sticker declarations of basic human decency 🫠
VENDOR HIGHLIGHT: Stickiemi
Emi from @stickiemi is an artist who takes inspiration from the natural world to create lino prints, stickers, and printed patches/textiles. Her pieces focus on social and climate justice, as well as appreciation of native flora and fauna. She prioritizes sustainability and access in her production, handmaking paper from packaging waste, upcycling fabrics, and donating a share of proceeds from each sticker to a cause related to the messaging of the art.
Barred owl call lino print on handmade paper in honor of owls week on @ologies ! I learned in part 2 that these guys’ westward territory expansion is bad news for the spotted owl and other endangered species. But I’m in their native range in the east so I’m still allowed to like them. Super interesting episodes! #ologiesart #barredowl
Black bears, to me, represent making the most of the small things. They make up most of their diet not by hunting big prey, but by foraging tiny things. The prints in the border are all components of their diet (berries, acorns, mushrooms, leaf buds, honey, bugs, etc). Bears also make time for self care with tree back scratches and going for a swim. Savoring the small things can help us bear the hard times 🐻
