Tonight we celebrate our close friend, the incredibly good hearted, wildly inspiring, all around magical music wizard, @martinbisibc & 45 years of BC Studios, the ultimate hub of Gowanus. We are honored to be included on this unbelievable bill & to have spent so many hours in this historical safe haven for musical experimentation & creativity with such a special human being.

In 2016 we started playing out as Weeping Icon. The lineup (truly by magic) ended up 3 people named Sara(h) & a Lani. We got to play with lots of our favorite bands including PC Worship, @bambaraband , @parlorwalls , Running, @wearethemenbk , Wall, @population_1280 , @PieFaceGirls , @naturalvelvet , @therealsurfbort , Heavenโs Gate, @idlebloom & more. We played heavy & fast & with all of our long hair in our faces, & our first write-up thought we were 4 hunky dudes. We recorded our first EP in a barn upstate. We played the @suffragettecityzine feminist collective zine release show gearing up to the election & then we played planned parenthood benefits after our hearts broke watching the grotesque r@cist r@pist moptop get fluke elected. As the year closed we poured our rage into this new project. Over a decade our rage has evolved along strange roots that look different than weโd have expected - paths weโve found deeply profound & fulfilling. @heather___elle is now in our band and we still love @lutkie โs art. And now weโre excited to show yall what weโve been working hard on for the past couple years. Weโll be doing things in 2026. ๐ชฐ

This will be the last live show for several months as sara is having a baby! (Sheโs due in October).. hooray for good people having babies ๐ค
