This performance will also mark the two-year anniversary retrospective of Phraos — The Great Doll. The event will feature a documentary film and highlights from past performances. We’ve also prepared a special mocktail menu, and there will be a surprise immersive experience during the show — but let’s keep it a secret for now🤫
Door opens at 6:30
Performance starts from 7:30
About Some Kind of Bliss
It’s a zone you enter. There’s no stage. Only presence. No protagonist—only fragments.
Rooted in the lived experiences of the Pan-Asian queer diaspora in London, this piece reclaims small acts of transgression—stealing an onion, leaving a broken speaker, a fake eyelash in the sink—as gestures of survival, desire, and self-making in the face of urban alienation.
We draw from Deleuze and Guattari’s rhizome — a way of organizing culture and life without a fixed center, no clear beginning or end. A rhizome can break and reconnect elsewhere. It depends entirely on how you structure your own cells and synapses. It is nomadic — a crosscurrent of diasporic bodies and memories, where one no longer grows roots, but instead seeks connection through shifting subjectivities.

🐆ᶜʰᵉᵉᵗᵃʰ ᴰᵉᵐᵒⁿ: ᶠᵘʳʳʸ ˢᵗʳᵃᵗᵃᵍᵉᵐˢ ᵗᵒ ᵃ ᶜˡᵉᵃⁿ ᶠᵒʳᵉˢᵗ&ᵐ!ⁿᵈ a land-based stage perfo lead by Cheetah Demon the furry guru/mobiliser activistฅ from the depth of forest, aims to deconstruct the human-centric narrative and questions the traditional dualist paradigm of the human non-human animals, accomplished through three theatrical actฅฅฅ, disputes the power and domination hidden under the guise of the granting of socialness and intimacy to nonhuman actants from human, shift sideways the role of humanity from being the sole transcendant cause to that of being manipulated of the wildness of Cheetah Demon.! CD wishes to build our furry society with our furry intelligence and through spreading the lovely fu~fu~ cosmology: we build our society solely through fu~fu~ interactions, we attemp to repair the decaying human social fabric out of our fu~fu~ knowledge and fu~fu~ species ethnomethods. we have few techniques(acrobats, dance, juggling ᵒ̴̶̷̤ꈊ˂̶̤̀), but are perfectly able to devise our social tools through the manipulation and commoning practices of one another in our complex fu~fu~ strategies, and with a pure heart♡
